OT: The Daily Thread

RL: Busy week. Wrestling show, D&D and catching up on UFC. Work's been too busy to work on my D&D project at home, so that's on the back burner for now. I have some materials coming through the post soon, so that should be good timing.

D2: Finished the above MP chars with TRM. I've been doing some incredibly slow p3 Pit runs with the Wind Druid at 200MF. Have Tal's armor and a Fal to show for it. Hopefully the armor will help my BlizzSorc with her MFing, as it's been slow progress rebuilding my wealth and lost stashes. Hopefully TRM and I will be able to sync up our schedules again soon to continue our new combo of a Cold Sorc/Conv Pally combo.

OVG: If anything it would be Rimworld, but D2 has me hooked again.
 
RL: back to work from yesterday, after 3 weeks of holiday. Pff, not liking it at all. After today I don't have to work until Wednesday though, so that's nice :).

On the very bright side, Tool has finally put all their albums on Spotify. So today is Tool day at work, which should make it much more bearable. Can't wait for their new album, coming out in exactly one week.

D2: currently on a hiatus because of ...

OVG: Grim Dawn. Jumped back into it, loving it at the moment. Also finally took the time to read up on guides, game mechanics, and other useful information. So this time I'm determined to last longer than that first moment I get my butt handed over to me, but persevere and hopefully get to the endgame itemfinding fun.
 
RL: Off on holiday for a week this afternoon.

(Late response) The swim went well, thanks @Luhkoh - I was 81 out of about 750 starters overall, 14/148 in my category. I have done two more since then, may do another in September.

D2: Should be able to squeeze in about one hour of Pindle before I leave, I will still be around the forums though.

OVG: Design for my MAME cabinet is done, I have drilled the control board too. I now have to wire it all together and check it works, before I start building the cabinet properly. It’s intended to be a slow project for over the winter to do with my daughter, so no real rush. I will post some photos when there is something worth showing.

In 9 iterations of The International (the biggest event in competitive gaming, breaks their own record for largest prize pool every year) there has NEVER been a single player (much less team, there is a lot of team hopping in competitive dota) win twice. A repeat of last year’s grand finals looks highly likely and the loser from last year is the only remaining Chinese team at an event being held in China. If OG wins they’d be the first team with 2 wins AND the first team to win back to back. The matches are absolutely INSANE, highly recommend. Here’s a documentary about last year’s winner and their unlikely comeback/background stories that also gives a little info about the history of dota (the guy Notail has an amazing story):
 
RL: vacation starts at 2:30. Going to LA via mt Evans, arches, capitol reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.

D2: nope

OVG: on stage 4 of the new wizards unite event. This one went much faster than last time. Global dragon event this weekend too (kind of) Pokémon go water event ends early next week, then it’ll be time to walk 10k eggs for unowns.....

RL: Morale at work is real bad. Looking ahead to my next day off (Sunday) for catching up on UFC.

D2: Some good progress on the MP duo with TRM. Made a Treachery for the 'Din and found an Atma's Scarab. Too dependent on the procs though. Some more progress on the Wind Druid.

OVG: A new save on RimWorld to wind down from work. It's so relaxing. I've heard rumours of a new Rocket League season but I don't have much interest in it at the moment.
 
Jordan will of course be a skillfull and energetic fellow, more than 25% more energetic than the average person. But watch out for static electricity when you touch.:)
