We sent a collection of tired shitty bored players and still took 3rd. That says a lot. The US doesnt even take international basketball seriously because any real team of ours can win effortlessly.

In other news...
One thing I hate about this place is how I have to pay my social dues. I am far from my parents house but not so far people don't know who I am and who my parents are, etc. Everyone is so political here there is no escape. So many damn rich/important people and I have to at least acknowledge them all, being eternally charming, witty, polite, etc. Every time I go to a public event, eat at a nice restraunt, etc, its a production. I have to scan the room for important people, go rub shoulders and touch base, etc. Its annoying. And I hate how everyone assumes my gf is my wife. Look for the damn ring people.
One thing I liked about living out west was no one knew who I was or frankly gave a damn. In a lot of ways its nice not to have social responsibilities and status. I suppose in the end it will benefit me though :/
