OT Kinda...

Hi guys and gals, I just installed a new hard drive due to a failure on the part of the old one. (which is now in a thousand pieces )

The question is does Bnet check the key of the original cd install or does it only check the key of the xpack install? I am in a bit of a bind since I can't find my case for the original but I do have all the disk and the key for xpack.

Well youd need it to install the original but as for gaming it only checks what version you are playing. IE if you are playing expac it will only check your lod cd key

It helps when u write / type certain cd-keys that you have... save it on your hdd, print it out / keep it safe and where u know where 2 find it.

if your bud still plays diablo, then you have a problem. When you install your classic D2, it remembers the CD key you put in. ANd no 2 copies with the same Classic D2 key can be online on the same realm. It checks whenever you log on.
