If I'd have stayed with my ex-wife, we'd have been together for around 13 years now, so piscene will only be younger than me if he met his girl when he was younger than 17.

yup. thats it still. and in my opinion although good results comparatively to the rest of the state IMO they dont reflective my ability as i never did a scrap of work as is the way of an adolescent male :lol: so could of dont better. didnt. oh well. this should still be enough to get me in the door.

spent 8 hrs playing games today. pretty good deal. $15 for 9 hours. normally its $15 for 3 hours. so yeah. it was pretty awesome and i have a spare hour now just floating around for next time im in town with nothing to do :xdrunk:
played call of duty and i discovered the best tactic ever with a flamethrower, creating a firewall to blind your enemies and allow you to close in on them. GG 50 frags and no deaths in 20 minutes.
played UT 2004 and thats always a winner.
played some other poorer shoot'em ups that i cant recall the names of.
played warcraft 3 and pwned everyone with 50+ ancient protector( they dont count as units so dont affect upkeep :xeek: ) got pwned and pwned in C&C generals.
played some need for speed underground. one of the few racing games i sort of enjoy.

im going to speak to the guy that runs this place about installing diablo and diablo2 so i can play online from their seeing as it has a very good connection. so lots of MP from corax in the near future

'mornin everyone.. I'm so tired! Got to sleep at half past 3 and had to go to work today. I was up late yesterday because I played that new Lord of the Rings strategy game and man that's a cool game!! Really really great. I'm normally not a RTS fan but this game is unbelievable cool. Try it!

Other than that nothing of interest has so far happened today. I'm falling asleep at work because I'm tired like an old horse, but tonight I'm gonna see my girl again :clap:

Tonight's when I'll give her the candy I've made the day before yesterday, and I hope she likes it. She will also get my Christmas card today. Tomorrow I have a day off and will be spending it with her, so I won't be here... ;)

Pwned by Simeon! That would be a nice story if Piscene has been with his girl since his teenage years. I don't know anyone that is still with their adolesent love.... Our generation seem to move on after a while..... I wonder if Ronin has been with his wife since they were kids?

@Corax - imagine if you had of studied! You shouldn't have any issues getting into a uni with those marks - Do they have Op's in NSW and if so what Op do your marks equate to??????

@Rizzo - I had a look at LotR as a chrismas pressie for Bec's younger brother, maybe I should have got it. What's the general gist of it?

Note: After no D2 for the weekend I've spent some time bashing Baal, am sitting at 2.9 billion exp (.062 bil till 97), I expect to be there by Friday...... Notable finds, Eaglehorn, widowmaker (that's 8 or 9 now), Arachnids (can you believe I've only ever found 2 and they are both ethereal????) BKCB (too many of these too).........

Oooo...is that the game with the light ---> dark continuum and you work your way through each map...and the ring gets passed around...and you can be either Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin or...Fatty? That's right, Fatty Bolger, the little-known fifth hobbit the rest of them left behind to guard Frodo's new "home" after selling Bag End to send any bad guys in the wrong direction.

If it's that game, I'M SO JEALOUS!!! It totally rocks my socks.

That's it, Overall Position - When I went to Uni in Townsville I had to get my Nz Bursary assessed to an OP - I ended up with 10. Like you I did no work what-so-ever, looking back on it I really should have pulled finger! Do you know what the zoology cut off is at JCU?

What type of car? I have a company car that is fairly abused, I have this thing where it doesn't get washed unless someone important is coming to see me :uhhuh: It just annoys me to wash cars (mine's a white Falcon and gets damn dirty in Brownsville, the dust bowl of the North).

an old yellow dual cab toyota hilux. the tray was recently replaced so its a nice new shiny steel one. but the magnetic L plate doesnt stick to it. so out with the trusty duct tape.
 
Let me see...a 1983 Volkswagen Jetta, Maroon, which gets washed...er...once every three months? If that. I usually have it washed when my wife starts threatening to do it herself.

What's all this grading talk? I'm lost, I have absolutely no idea what everyone is talking about. What's a good grade? Back when I was in school (7-odd years ago) and university (3-odd years ago), we had nice, easy-to-understand percentages. 50% = pass, 80% = cum laude, 100% = "You crazy freak...go to your room and invent new Maths".
 
i hadnt washed my car in awhile either. it'd gone from yellow to brown from 4wd'ing in a 2wd :xsmile4: and i need to protect the old girl from rust as much as possible.


the grading system is just a ranking of how well you go compared to the rest of the state. in this case i was better than 83.55% of yr 12 students in NSW.
lets say about 50k students do yr 12 this yr with me, that means im ranked higher than ~42k of them.
 
@TheGrimm - I finished school in '93 and I had the same thing, it all worked on percentages (New Zealand that is) and was called a Bursary.

In OZ they now rank you according to your overall position (OP) in the state you live in, this is an aggregate mark of your final year school exams and goes from 1(being the best) - 17 iirc (I could be wrong). The lower your overall position the better/ smarter you are.

Most Uni courses have OP cut offs, and if you OP is higher than that you have no hope of getting into the course (this also differs fom uni to uni, and year to year). For example if you want to do medicine you'd need an OP of lower than 3 (illustrative purposes only) if you had an OP of 4 you'd be very lucky to get into medicine.

For most business courses the cut off is between 10 - 12 (depending on the uni). I have no idea what it is this year for Zoology, which is what Corax wants to get into.

It can make a difference to your life what your OP is, though you only really figure that out after the fact :uhhuh:

meh im not to concerned. i would of applied to JCU this yr then differed for a yr if i knew what i wanted to do before cut-off time. but oh well. if i dont have a high enough score ill just use alternative entry n sneak in the back way

What, drive at 180km/h and operate a camera at the same time? I wouldn't do that in my own car, or any car for that matter :lol:

I wrote SAT's in America (was there for 9 months after finishing high school, hoping to attend UNI there. But, $60,000 a year was too much and the girls where ugly so...). I was in the "11th percentile" for math and "1st percentile" for grammer; I suppose it's a similar thing...

@Corax: So, what are your study interests. Zoology, I know, but specifically?

you must be in the top percentile in grammar to use a word like percentile.
im number 17 in the state for maths apparently. sad really considering i did no work.

im interested after finishing Uni to travel overseas somewhere and do something over there. ive got a passion though for bears, tigers and teh orcas.
did you know the only reported human death by killer whales was in one of those stunt aquariums and only because the whales were playing too roughly with the handler and she drowned.
they've been known to pull up from beaching themselves when they realize its a human rather than a seal pup and there have been close calls with surfboarders and the like where they are nearly attacked and the whales realise their mistake. the funniest one i heard about was a surfboarder wound up half inside the killers mouth\,then it let him go and swam away....insane

I went to have an intwerview there last week, but they didn't offer me a place...
