glad to hear ann is better simeon

It's only that she's currently feeling up to spending a few hours in front of a computer at the moment. There's still one chemo session to go, but she's had it put off until after Christmas. So we'll get some proper time together rather than her being in bed throughout the holiday season. :xgift:

She's also (and here I'll be putting a bit of a dampner on the current happiness of the thread, so please don't read on if you don't want to) found a lump in her breast. It's not a secondary cancer (the indicators they get from her blood would have shown that up), but it could still be a completely new one. We go to a "one stop shop" at a hospital 50 miles away on Wednesday to find out. My best guess is that it will just be a fatty lump and no problem, but you never know.

I'm pleased that she's feeling a bit better at the moment though - any quality time we get together is a real bonus right now.

Hello everyone :xsmile3:

Fabulous day
Simply great!

Yesterday evening I made candy for my precious, delicious marcipan and nougat covered with chocolate and decoratives. They are really nice! After that (at around 2-3 am) I made a Christmas card for her. A drawing of a teddybear sitting besides some presents in front of a christmas tree. It got pretty well actually. My old drawing skills are a bit rusty but I can still manage to pull something off once in a while. Anyway, the card has been sent today, so she will get it tomorrow when I come to see her. I'm planning on surprising her.... oh I love christmas!

Yesterday I installed DIABLO 1 !!!!!!!!11!! (along with Hellfire!!)
OMG OMG OMG!!
It's scary! I play a rogue, and damn that game has atmosphere!! I played when it was totally dark outside with only a candle to light up the room. It's really a great game! I'm currently level 10 and have just cleard the Chamber of Bone. I found my Arkaines Valor (:p) and so far she's doing good. How I hate those dogs spitting acid. They're totally viscious!!
It's so dark down there! The catacombs are frightingly dark and all of a sudden a horned beast charges and takes half your life, or a hidden monstrosity suddenly becomes visible right in front of you. The thing I like about D1 is also the AI. It's far superior to D2. In D1 the monster actually try to avoid danger and attacks in groups. They also flee if they're low on life. Another thing to worry about is spells... those you cast... cause they'll hurt you too!! Imagine a meteorb sorceress where the meteorb would also damage you :xeek:

Anyways, D1 is soooo cool, and my Rogue will continue her battle to free the city of Tristram along with the rest of the world. I just hope I find a windforce :)

Have a nice day everyone

you almost make me want to install d1 and actually play it past lvl 3 or wherever i got to last time. where'd you get a hold of hellfire?

Not many peeps have it, but one can still buy it at ebay and what have you.

Wonder how much it cost to send a cd to australia  ??!

I think it's quite a bit. 100 megs at least methinks. Not exactly emailable :)

My my...my first visit to the Beacon's Billboard and what do I discover...a paradox of note...

"Come on, boys, lets go kill the denizens of hell. We'll rain fire from above, lay cruel traps, raise dead creatures to eat their own offspring, explode corpses all over the place...

...and when we're done, wel'll make chocolate and nougat treats to go with the fuzzy pink bear we've just made. Weeeee."

Never fear, I'm not dissing anyone...I also make the occasional foray into the land of nougat and poetry. Since I'm not much known around here, I think I'll mention I am married (no kids or pets) to a redhead. (Need I say more?)

And now i'll go murder some cows...

Willcommen TheGrimm (reaper perhaps? :p)

Yes we are quite a bunch of all flavoured people in here, some are romantic, some are dramatic and some are... well, something else. Nice to see you in here, perhaps you will become an addict of the DooL just like ourselves? We could always use an extra opinion once in a while.

Hang loose Grimm :xgrin:

Yep, it's theGrimm as in "the Grimm Reaper". But not the morbid version, but rather from Terry Pratchette's "Reaper Man".

At the risk of seeming a complete n00b...what is the DooL? Opinions I have a plenty!

Errr...it's 'Days Of Our Lives' - the title of the thread :xrollseye :xmad: :xgrin:

Welcome Grimm. I just LOVE Pratchett and his way of commentating on reality. Whenever a new Discworld novel is released I have to buy it in hardback rather than wait for the paperback, and for me that is true love!

EDIT: Grrr...pwned by Rizzo

Okay, so I've got no post count, only lame unique items and I'm a barely mediocre d2 player, but I can claim victory for my 10 years, 6 months, 19 days of wedded bliss...or at least weddedness  Or we can go back to the first date, just over 13 years ago...

Ohmygod I'm old!!! When did this happen? Oh, crap, I never even saw it coming. I refuse to grow old. I'm going to play on bnet where maturity is strictly forbidden. Then I'll have some kid barely older than my daughter scam me for my one good gear item, okay maybe I won't do that. Oh well, I can grow old but it doesn't mean I have to grow up.

BTW, the sabres at dawn cracked me up...gotta love the Muppets.

Finally someone older than I am in here  Although Simeon is too me thinks.........

It's funny how it catches up on you, one day you're 20 and drinking beer at a pub with your mates, the next you're knocking on 30, drinking at home with the wife/ GF (whatever) and life is too hard! What's up with that?

Nice to see a new member posting in the Dool.

@Kaysaar - How's the Gf?

@Corax - Nice results in your HSC (what's it called now?)

@Rizzo - Congrats on the anniversary of sorts, long may it continue.

@Everyone - Have a nice day.......
