Excuse me Solo, but why would you want to do that?
What feelings are involved in a "transfer" like that?

its just one of those personality things i guess. becoming part of a group you share similar interests with and what not.

Often, yes.

My old girlfriend wasn't a goth, she was a wicca. She said it was because she believed in that stuff, but really, she wanted to be special and get extra attention. I'm not saying you want to be special Solo ;) I am just putting up another example on why people want to join "different" groups of people.

Some do it because they got a reason too, some just want the special attention.

So, how are all doing?

hi Nacaa  nice to see you again!
I'm great, but I'm currently at work :(

How are you doing in the army? Are things still going great?

Hell yes, But it's damn cold outside at the moment so it ain't that fun anymore. And next week will be a tentweek. Whohoo... :p But I'm not sure I want to be a fireman anymore, I'd love to be a teacher too. Ah well. I gotta wait and see what I choose.

Work eh? Working long today?

No I'm off in about 2 hours. From 10 to 1600 hours. No sweat. But my head still aches a bit from my recent illness :(

Teacher eh? You could teach children in D2... hehe that could be fun!

hey nacaa
ive thought about becoming a teacher. but ultimately decided against it. what kind of teaching?

Solo - Soooo... I think a gradual series of changes would be the best. Just as long as you're not going to some extreme contrast, like from mostly black to all bright yellows :p.

You also mentioned Goth-like... is this just wearing "normal" clothing just only mainly in black, because that's what I did through much of high school. Or is it leaning more towards the strereotypic image of Goth?

Also if you girl dresses to this image, she might also feel a tad betrayed. But I could be wrong, it's happened before :

And thanks Rizzo! If that's what you'd say to a friend on this sort of day then that's exactly what I need

Corax: I think something like History/Math would suite me the best. But I change my mind often. I have to wait until after the army before I make my decision.

Just got back from 3 hrs rowing - we couldnt row well because of the ice.....Shizzle, its cold. Hey Nacaa! Glas to hear you're well.

Alright, to clear some things up :)

First of all, i'm not going through this to force any kind of attention from anyone, nor to fit in with with any groups of people.

Secondly, any change i make won't be dramatic. Just enough for me to feel comfortable with my appearance.

basically a bunch of people hanging round at night wearing black stuff. im sure theres more of a lifestyle that goes with it. but im no expert

I'll pass on that  Stereotype it to hell, why dont you ;)

Hey all!

Well it's Monday here and I've decided I really need a holiday, haven't had one for 2 year with this company and it's now taking it's toll. Will go to Nz in Feb for a couple of weeks, introduce Rebecca to the parents and my sister.......

@Solo: - have you always been interested in Goth culture? What was the trigger that lead to your clarity? I'm only asking so as to better understand your situation. I tend to agree with Kaysaar though, a series of small changes, as it's always better to test the waters before jumping straight in.

@Corax: - What are you thinking of doing at Uni?

@Nacca: - Teaching is a very noble profession, I just don't think I could handle the kids. How long did you sign up in the army for?

@Rizzo: - Hope you're feeling better, it does suck to be sick.

@Ronin: - Glad I'm not the only one :uhhuh: , got to love the SPF.

-Grogs

what a great day!

you can tell grogs is getting old. the best way to test the waters is to get a mate to jump in first

strewth mate.

well who wants to hear about the great day i just had, my 2 year anniversary with my girlfriend no less.
well i rang her up on sat night to tell her that i cared about spending the day with her, and she told me she'd swapped shifts. so we planned to meet up at this park thats bout an hour and a half walk away on the edge of the local dam. so at midday i start my wander down there to meet here at 2pm. get there about 1:30pm and sit and wait.
2pm, not there
3pm she still hasnt showed up. same at 4pm
5pm it starts to pour down rain and she still hasnt bothered to turn up. so i wandered back home and got drenched.

got home and i rang her up, turns out she'd been out shopping with her friends in the morning and then they decided to go see a movie and all go out to tea.
the first few times she ''forgot'' who had plans i could believe. but not this. we'd been talking bout it on saturday and sunday. so in short i really have no idea what to do anymore.
and no ive got the damn sniffles and my sandwiches got ruined....for nothing!

Christ, Corax, thats harsh. Wtf was she thinking?

I have no idea what to say - ill leave this one to the elders. Dont have much experience in women not coming out with me, you know what im saying

Corax:: omg! I would be so angry! Aren't you? On your 2 year anniversary even... damn! Let her know. If she doesn't care something must be wrong. A 2 year anniv should be something special for both parts, and I would be very troubled if I were in your situation. I can't really say what I would've done, but I would be very mad, and forgiving her wouldn't be an easy task. You have to have a long talk with her and she must tell you why she didn't care about this day, that should be so special for the two of you.
