Report: Forty percent of Americans have a favorable view on socialism​

Probably the same number of people who have woken up to the fact that their country is run by the right wing press who crush out any true leftist dissent on site. There is no difference between capitalism and communism if the results are the same which is pretty much the way things are going in the world today.

Speaking of socialism, a few weeks ago, my coworker was ringing up a customer and, unprovoked, she decided to go into a speech about why she was voting for Trump and how he was gonna save us from socialism and that the definition of socialism is "everybody shares and if I wanted to I could walk out with this shopping bag right now without paying. That's socialism." No, Susan, that's theft and you're pissed that you can't steal clothes.

If conservative media was in any way prestigious or powerful you'd be hearing about multiple pieces of *evidence* that Joe Biden took millions of dollars in payoffs from the Chinese People's Liberation Army and other nefarious types.

I won't deny that Australia parodies other countries especially America. As for the conservative media, if you didn't want to listen to them in the west you would almost mute the entire western media commentary in doing so. I don't have a problem with Zuckerberg as he provides as 2 way 'social media' medium. Most of the conservative media is a one way propagandist medium. The reason why you are not hearing anything bad about Biden is because the right wing media want Trump out of power, they recognize the fact that he has been the worst person you could have as president in a pandemic.

I always forget that you folk are the inverse of America in more than just geography. As in, your "liberals" are actually what the definition of "liberal" used to mean (here they'd be moderate Republicans, or called "literally Nazi" by American Progressives).

It's kind of strange that the far-Left American media would be called "conservative" Down Under but then y'all have aggressive marsupials. Other than that, your observations are spot-on; the only mainstream "conservative media" is FOX and the only print outlets are the Wall Street Journal and the so-called "Tabloid" New York Post (the outlet that's being censored by the mainstream for 'breaking' the Hunter Biden multi-scandals).

What's even moar funneh is how not only is XiNN demanding that FOX news be SILENCED!!!!~ but that they're now reporting on the creeping dangers of OANN and NewsMax TV, which must be driven from the airwaves to save all that's beloved to Holy Stalin.

FOX has been losing viewers thanks to their supercilious treatment of their viewers... considering that the pervasive, totally dominant Progressive media was always mocking FOX viewers as mindless drones, it's strange that those mindless viewers would find fault with FOX taking a turn to support the Proggy mainstream.

Surprise, I read that article! Edit: Whoops, I didn't notice that yur posting is rather old already!

What is that socialism thing in this context? Confiscation of all property, like in the USSR? Or just more control by the state? Or more welfare and social insurances? Whatever, what's helpful to reduce that percentage? Certainly not the hilarious stuff you were posting recently. That will probably make more people turn into what you call socialistic. Before you ask: No , I won't elaborate, it's fine for me to leave your statements as they are.

I also find it embarrassing how many people are extremely proud to be American. As I said before, being proud of the society or nation into which you were born into without any efforts of your own is of limited value. Being American comes for free, doesn't it?

It's certainly OK to agree to support and praise the achievements of your country or your countrymen. I'm doing that all the time with Beethoven and sometimes with respect to the German state, society and system (not always and unconditionally, but at least half of the time). Also, if you took part significantly in making your country great, then it's OK to be proud of these achivements, but without any achievements of your own it's just arrogance and vanity or even ignorance. I seriously doubt that those 42% extremely proud people did enough themselves in that regard to make it a pride that others would acknowledge. Certain elites probably like these proud people because they can be deluded into doing silly things, so they can keep on not noticing that they are mixing up of the greatness of their country with their own greatness.
