Need MF Help

It's me again

I've been trying to mf now for a few nights but i only find crap. Seriously, real crap. I'm doing hell pindle, meph, pit and andy and the best I've got so far is Bloodletter..

I use a level 80 Blizzard/Fireball sorceress with this gear:

P Topaz Shako
P Topaz Skulders
+1 Sorc skills + 20 mf Amulet
P Diamond Lidless Wall
Ist Oculus
Wartravellers 39%
Chanceguards 35%
2x MF Rings
+Some mf charms

What am I doing wrong? Mephisto takes a buttload of time to do for me, he just won't die, but i usually do so a few times. Shouldn't I be able to kill and
survive aswell as getting good stuff with this gear and build?

The trick with Meph if you're a sorc is to clean the right side of the Durance of Hate lvl 3, then bring him close to the lava river and teleport back to the other side, and then shoot him with fireballs when you're out of range for his attacks (usually at the edge of the screen).
I never die from Meph, but I die from the council members and their boss. Be careful with them and be ready to teleport to the stair if your life is going down too fast. Try to take them one by one.
You seem to have enough MF%. You should just keep trying. It will eventually pay. Good luck

Better off hitting him with Blizzard, Mephisto does not resist it as well as Fire/Lightning.
My CL/Orb Sorc kills Mephisto a -lot- quicker with Orb even though my Lightning Bolt shows that it does a lot more damage (well over 8k in MF equipment).

With the gear you have, you should be finding some stuff, but I'm not sure what you mean by "doing" mf runs the past few nights. MF, even with gazillions of magic find, is an excercise in patience. Hundreds of runs will generate results, but dozens may not. Just out of curiosity, where did you get all of that gear if you can't find anything MFing?

Just a little addition:

I would lvl up a bit more, atmosphere: clvl >95 essentially eliminates the possibility of crappy mods on items, so even though you many take many runs to find items, they should be of good quality.

NB: I wouldn't worry about getting as high as 95, but at least higher 80's would be best. Overall tho, take cotton's advice: mf is all about banging your head against the wall for like 100 runs. eventually, indeed it will pay off.

What is your damage? I have an 87 blizzard sorc that has no problem with hell Mephisto. I am thinking that your points into fireball and synergies may have sucked the damage out of your blizzard.
