Need help to build a good Mf sorc

Hey people im new to the forum and i just want to know wut are the best items,stats,and skills for this sorc. My merc has an infinity so any skills will do so thanks for the help.

well people told u best skills, i'd have to agree.. crazy to use infinity for merc without going lightning. you could try eth doom wep for act 2 merc as well. anything will do. never made a lightning sorc myself, but they can get crazy dmg. and even more gg with a infinity merc.
1. you could make a lightning sorc.
2. frozen orb
3. blizzard
those are my top 3.

as for skills, depends on what you're planning to wear. the mf sorc's i've made wear enigma for mf / str. strength for gear. anni + torch also help. i dont waste any pts into dex (may be just me) but i prefer all vita. dont put ne into energy.

gear:
helm: shako + ist or ptopaz
armor: enigma or skullders (for most mf)
shield: 4 ist monarch
weapon: 6 ist sword or istist baba
boots: 50 travs
gloves: 40 chancies
ammy: i usually like a 40+ mf ammy, i had a 48 mf ammy self found until i sold
rings: 2 30 nagels or 30+ mf rings
belt: goldwrap or spider for more fcr / dmg

that was a mix of mf / skill

the most mf i believe is
helm: griswolds with 3 ist (lol)
ammy: 50 mf magical
rings:30+ magical
shield: 4 ist monarh
wep: 6 ist sword
armor: skullders with ist
boots: 50 travs
gloves : 40 chancies
belt: goldwrap

I just started not much over a month and the first character i made was a hammerdin because last i played in .09 there was no such thing(very limited if there was). After playing him and getting a bit of money off keys i built an MF sorc here is what i did and im VERY pleased and not terribly expensive either

Helm-Shako (getting harder to find for 1hr so 1.5hr)
Ammy-Tals (1hr)
Armor-Tals (1hr)
Wep-Occy (pgems~10)
Shield-Spirit (can find a monarch socket and add easy runes)
Gloves-Chancies (pgems for a medium~5)
Belt-Tals (pgems again~5)
Boots-Travs (depending on mf pgems-hr for a medium 40% 1hr)
Rings-Unless you got an SOJ laying around i suggest 10fcr/life/mana/resis rings (I use 1 soj i found myself and a natures peace -i nihil with her)

so roughly adding everythying up you shouldnt really break 4hr on the sorc herself for your merc

Helm-Andys visage (1hr usually unless its a real good one, good alternative is tals mask)
Armor-eth Fort (takes 1hr to make and 4os eth armors arent real hard to find)
Wep-eth infinity (you already have)

so if you want a good merc 1-2 hr since you already have the infinity

Finally if you have left over currency look for torches/annis remember this is an MF character so spending a few points in str is acceptable since you dont need perfect stats as you might in PVP. So for the torch/anni you are mostly after the skills. Low anni can be had for 2-3hr (i bought my first for 2) and a low sorch torch can be had for 3-4hr. Dont forget a decent gheeds!

Thats a basic idea of what everything i would suggest using and their approximate cost.

Skills? for this build no doubt go with lightning/chain lightning. I did the build and im in love. Can mow over almost EVERYTHING in hell, and the only immunities you cant break are superuniques which your merc should be able to handle pretty easy with fort/infinity(should do 1k-6k for an average merc).

For that build you max light and chain and all its synergies then if you feel like maybe 1pt into a cold armor and 1pt in ES (it saves you me alot for just 1 pt)

Stats well hopefully you found your gear firsta nd just put enough into str to hit 156 (monarch req. for str on the spirit). then dump the vest into vitality.


With that build my sorc at lvl 91 still has about 3 lvls till i max all synergies, however i do about 5-23k and hit 24k with BO on cta switch(with 1light/lifer gc). Chain does like 5-9k. I have about 1800 life and 1100 mana so i hardly run out unless being swarmed and ES absorbs lots of damage. My resis are eh i could add charms to max them but i like the extra room for my treasures. I have 45/65/75/45 in hell with all 3 anya quest done. My MF is 450 on the dot and none of my gear is outstanding.

any further questions i can help with i love mf sorcs so shoot em, even how to kill things like souls,dolls, knights which are a pain while baaling solo

eargh, what a revolting, pathetic dupewhore setup.

are you actually capable of playing this game through, untwinked?

suggestions like these are usually from people with negligible playing skill and an over-reliance on duped gear.

enigma? on a sorc? PUH-leeeeze. skullders if your that mad for MF, or a 4ptopaz Dusk Shroud. a ptopaz Viper is pretty gosu armour or the old favourite, TALS!
6-ist sword? although i can almost understand an ist/ist Blade of Ali-Baba, i prefer Lem runes or %MF jewels in mine.
4-ist shield? gah, a Spirit for the skills/FCR or a Rhyme for CBF and some more MF.

can you say "dupewhore"?
you ever complain about lag?
ever realise that Dupers cause most of the lag on b.net?

back on topic and ignoring the above, can i suggest a straight-out Tals sorc of whatever element or elements you like. a tals meteorb can solo hell quite easily packing a pretty decent amount of MF. with an infinity merc, you'll have no trouble at all.
