Need Druid Wolf help (gear,skills)

Hello all. The time is in to make wolf druid. But the big question is what items I need and how I should put out my skills.

I have around 15-18 ists to get items for.

This what I think I can need:

Helm: Jala's Mane

Armor: Coh

Wepon: Eth BOTD Thuner Maul (switch CTA+Spirit)

Amulet: Highlord

Ring: Ravenfrost and Soj

Belt: No idea

Inventory: Torch, res and life charms:grin:

How should I put out my new skills?

Please give me our look at this and tell me what I can change.

possibly swap out coh for duress or fort

as far as botd - great pole axe, though less damage, has greater range and is more effective in my opinion. or a berzerker axe with stormshield.

verdungos or a crafed belt - look for life, str, open wounds. there's also a cheap belt option - the set belt from i believe disciples offers str, dext and 15 res all.

raven/bk would be better than soj, or possibly raven/wisp.

use dracs or bloodfists for gloves. (42 fhr with dracs, 86 with bloods)

If your planning on doing pure two handed werewolf. Know that you wont have to worry about dex for block rate. So put all those extra points into vit. But also know that from the look of your items you should use 2 ravenfrosts and not 1 raven plus something else. The ar you get from 2 next to perfect raven frosts is a good thing. You could also use 2 anglic rings and a amulet, then use a trang-ouls belt. That will give you more life, and more ar. Since this is your first werewolf know that coh is a great pvm armor. treachery is also a good pick. Infact treachery for pvp prebuff is better then using just a coh.

Build wise skill wise you have 3 picks but I think since your using a big 2 hander and yes ebotd greaterpoleaxe is better then ebotd tm. I will assume you want to use a build that uses fury so that goes down too 2 picks.

pure fury or fury/rabies

werewolf
fury
lycan
oak
1 point in spirit wolves

or

lycan
fury
rabies
poisoncreeper
oak/werewolf pick one and max that out last.
1 point spirit wolves

Never add to heart of the wolverine, It isnt as useful as it seams. And also never ever ever add to spirit of the barbs its just dumb.

Stat wise go with

str just enough for items
dex same thing or enough for max block
vit every left over point

charm wise you want a ton of charms with plus to life you should never want anything else. But if you are rich enough to get the perfect charm set up.

fury 37 fine small charms of vita, 1 anni, and 1 d torch

fury/rabies 9 shape gc of vita, 10 fine small charms of vita, 1 anni, and 1 d torch.

Only go with these 2 routes if your rich enough to get them. Other wise get as many charms with plus to life on them and keep them. Your hit points with sky rocket with them.

I have known at least 4 players that I have tought that just didnt get it throw theyre head that the charms are the inportant thing. Not the weapons, armors, and what not. And they keep getting these crappy charms then come complaining to me about how theyre werewolf blows.

You're aware that a Thunder Maul is utter crap on any druid?

With a WSM of +20, it's the slowest weapon possible for a class that is highly dependant on WSM as a source of EIAS. You'll be hitting a probably 10-11 frames (give or take) per swing. If you want a two hander, I see a couple of options here:

- eBotD Great Poleaxe.
- Custom GP with ED/IAS jewels
- Cruel Giant Thresher of Quickness with two sockets for 4 FPA
- (etheral, if possible) Tomb Reaver
- Other weapons (two handers) are meaningless at your wealth level.

I would take IK maul or even Buriza over BotD TM anyday.

Are you going PvP or PvM on this one?

2hander you should be able to get a hold of a ebotdgpa pretty easily since cruels of quickness are quite hard to find as well as the ever so evasive eth 3soc tombreaver.

coh is also more of a lets say fireclaw druid armor rather than fury. the life bonuses and str from enigma oh and speed are great and the dmg and res from fort are awesome so id go with one of those two.

Just because I haven't played too much in any of the new patches (1.10 and up), what was the deal now with 160ED/60Max armors? Once everybody were using them, now they don't work anymore, why is that again?

Again, I'd say, that Enigma vs. CoH is a matter of situation. +65 Res is awesome if you need it, but absolutely useless if you don't.

I'd say enigma is good if you want to go all vita (or close to). Else I'd pick the coh or fortitude anytime. The +str on enigma and the frw are the only things that puts it in the same league as coh/forti. The +life/level does not sum up the same way as normal +life when shifting, so that one is overrated.

Coh is the safest armor, giving you lots of resists, a tiny bit of %dr and also +2skills. The +200%dmgToDeamons/Undead comes in handy in pvm too, as does the lifesteal.

Fortitude is the more offensive type, lots of %ed, and a bunch of res. You also get that fancy coldarmor that fires tiny missiles. (not that the defense bonus would help on a druid...) Great for duels indeed.

Which one you pick is up to you, and what you are aiming for. If pvm, I'd say coh is just fine. Else you might start to consider the other two...
