My first elemental druid - please advise

Hello, i just found ravenlore and decided to finally make an elemental druid(a PvM one). As the pelt has -X% to enemy fire resistance, i am inclining to make a fire druid, but have absolutely no idea which skill combination is efficient. I have read the stickied guides but i still don't know what to do exactly.

I would be happy if you could tell me which skills to choose in order to kill quickly and also to be able to defeat fire immunes. Some equipment tips would be greatly appreciated as well. I am playing SP, more or less self-found, so enigma, infinity and such are not in my possession. However, i should have most uniques and sets(including aldur's).

Thx in advance for the info:rolleyes:.

Fissure and Volcano are easily the two best fire elemental skills, and they both synergize each other, so it's a no-brainer to max them both. Use Fissure against packs of enemies, and Volcano against single, stationary targets (if you open a Volcano right underneath its feet and it stays still, it will get hit 30+ times, which rocks).

After that, it's up to you whether you want to spend points synergizing Fissure (i.e. 20 points in Firestorm), or whether you'd rather spend them synergizing Volcano (20 points in Molten Boulder). I prefer synergizing Volcano, because Molten Boulder synergizes its physical damage, which makes Volcano great at taking down Fire Immune baddies.

For more info than that, run a search- there's a ton of good info on Fire druids around here already.

SSoG's got all your bases covered there. But I've found playing a shaman way back when that Volcano can be less than practical when getting mobbed (which may happen every now and then in pvm). I'd add having a grizzly can be a big help, be it as a tank (enemies fighting the bear tend to sit in volcanos better than those chasing you), or actually dealing some decent damage.

I think the skills on the shaman are maxing Fissure, Firestorm, Volcano, Molten Boulder, and Grizzly Bear - but it never hurts to run a quick search. Hope that helps.

Volcano gets quite tedious, IMO in the long run, it's not very precise, though it definitely has its uses. The best fire skill in terms of playability is Fissure, which is not that much of a killer, but they can get the job done both skills used togher as suggested.

Beware that this is NOT a cookie-cutter build, so you need patience for this. :) Have fuN!! :D

There is a guide on a Fire/Summon hybrid in the stickies. I started a char like that on single player that went mid-Nightmare easily but lost tha savegame :(
Basically I'd do this:
20 Volcano
20 Fissure
20 Moulten Boulder
10 Firestorm
10 Dire Wolf
1 Grizzly
1 Oak Sage
Pre-reqs(Raven, Spirit Wolf)
84 points, ends at level 73 with all quests done, after that you'll max Dire Wolves if you think you need better protection, or Firestorm for better Fissure damage, if you think your Summons endure enough.
Remember Summon Dire Wolf is a Synergy that adds to all summons' life. Adding points into it will increase Grizzly's life, adding points to Grizzly itself will only increase damage. I'd go with a Holy freeze merc for this.
As SSoG said, use Fissure for mobs and Volcano for single targets/Fire immunes having your summons/merc tank them.

can you give me any idea?

molten boulder 20
fissure 20
volcano 20
armageddom 20
OAK 20
grizzly 1

Ravenlore
phoenix
6*fire jewels socket in a Crystal Sword

PET INFINITY

I'd ditch the 'Geddon. It'll rarely connect, and Volcano needs another synergy far less than Fissure does. Toss those 20 points in Firestorm, instead.
