Yup my friend has been bugging me for some time now..
i go like

whatever reason he sux for.. (im just pullin his leg) he always starts yelling about that coh of his.. so the time has come to fix that f***king armour!
now im going to make about 20 cowruns and c if i get anything.. maybe a plate or the runes i need.. need ber and um... so what do YOU think?
think im gunna get the stuff im looking for? :p just tell me what u think ill find :D im a level 85 hammerdin with 340%mf so just place ur guesses down there and lets get ready to rumble!!... but first i need to run down to the market and buy some coke and snacks. brb :drink:
 
I think you'll get a 2 socket grim shield, lots of flawless gems, and a Naj's circlet.... at which point, you'll give up on cow runs because you just killed the king with your mighty hammers and no longer feel it's worth making with a different character and waiting around for the game to perm.

Why?

Cow King is 50% lightning immune so its hard to hurt him

Plus Hammerdin isnt really a good option for clearing Moo Moo Farm, hes not really that fast. Dont get me wrong he can tank cows easy, but u have to run go a group of cows, spam hammers, run to cows spam hammers.

With LF Amazon just spam lightning and everything dies, easy as. My LF Amazon has 37 Points in LF.

+2 from socketed Nightwings with 5/5 lightning die facet
+2 from Titans Revenge ( + 2 Java Skills)
+2 from Titans Revenge ( +2 all skills)
+1 rare gloves with fast attack speed
+1 Stone of Jordan , other ring is mana leach

+3 from 3x Lightning Skillers
+2 Maras Ammy
+3 Titans

She was designed especially for hell cows ;) If anyone wants a Hell cow character then look no furthure. It is very hard to load her up with MF gear though as she needs lots of plus gear.

She only has 200% 40% from war travellers , 35% from Gheeds , 100% from Skullders, rest in charms.

I agree with above poster....... More flawless gems than u can shake a stick at, lots of junk, a couple of runes (1-12) a low level unique , a couple of rares, lots of cash, lots of potions and um... thats about it.


I think the going rate is an item thats tradeable every 5-6 runs. maybe an exceptional unique, or a rune (14-20) its very hard to find anything 2 exciting, maybe a skiller GC on a good day

I personally like running cows, I run about on the average 20 runs a week some times more. 3 or 4 runs a day. I have gotten 2 Vex runes, 3 Mal’s, Amn, Sheal etc. and Marv’s Armor form those d** cows. But my biggest reason for running the cows are the gems (For Rerolling). So the other stuff that falls is a bonus. Yes I use my Lighting Zon. Very good killer for the cows. So like in any other area of the game there is always a chance for something to drop. Its just Luck.

meant thundergods spear btw... today its meph/pit/cow... i just posted a long reply so im not gonna write all that again.. but it dissapeared it seems :cheesy: anyways.. what do u think im gonna get today? got a deacent rare just now :D but i dont know how to make a link to it? can someone tell me?

Isn't that what hammerdins do? In fact, isn't that what LF zons do? Herd cows, LFLFLFLF. Herd cows, LFLFLF. Seems pretty much the same to me...

Hammers can do it. But LF is faster and you don't have to worry about killing the king. Plus the more cows with LF they die even faster. More cows is more dangerous with Hammers.

With a LF Amazon, u just spame LF, u can stand still.

With Hammerdin you have to run to a pack, spam hammers ( remember it takes a good 1-3 seconds to build the hammer forcefield up. (by that time you could of fired 10x javilins and killed that pack plus another pack.

LF just spams all over the place, mass death.

U can kill about 50% faster with LF, and if u have pierce, then your jav's are killing stuff thats well and truly off your screen.

Hammers can only kill stuff that are right next to you.

Hammerdins are ok in Moo Moo Farm, but they are not the most ideal character as they take exta time.

I am planning on making my second lightning zon. My first was from ladder #1. Do i need to max LF's synergies in order to kill hell cows without any +1 gcs? Or can I just get max LF, high pierce etc.. I wanna have as low mf as possible because my major objective is to find jewels, charms, and runes.

My future gears will be:

Titans
Mosser, Stormshield (doesnt really matter since my only goal is to kill cows :drool: )
Tgod
Laying of Hand
um'ed shako
Some dual leeching ring
Raven
Highlord
Some armor (Anything works really: Durry Shield, Shaftstop, Spirit forge, or any cheap armor may work)

I only have 2 Shako's

One on my Hammerdin, and one on my Bone Necro.

I traded for that nightwing which has +2 skills, and actually had a lightning facet already attatched, so its not a bad 2nd choice.

I guess ultimately I will upgrade it to a Shako when I find another one ;) Shakos just make for good trades though, can usually get good items for em.

The facet almost translates to an extra 10% damage though, so that helps at least.
 
due to a minor health problem in the moo moo farm... (weak *** cowking...)
i had to make another cow runner :lol: so i just boosted up my lightning javazon... and thank heavens.. first run i got 15%ed superior 4 socked monarch :thumbsup: an since i was using milabergas orb i quickly threw in 2 lightning facets and a fervor jewel (looking for 2nd fervor jewel) and started mfing.. thus.. this post is revitalised!!


wotcha think im gunna get today then? new character is 310% mf javazon and im gunna do about 15-20 more runs today
 
Another really good thing about LF zons is they don't have to be well built to do a lot of damage to cows. So you don't need the most leet gear ever nor do you really need to max anything but penetrate and Lightning Fury. So all the other skills are open.
 
On a java zon wouldnt a griffons eye be better? Or is that just too spensive? Luckily i found mine so didnt have to worry bout trading :D

I had to laugh at this, as it seems that Naj's circlet drops in every cow game. I did find a 4% Bull Kathos yesterday, but that is about it. Most of the time it yields exactly what you said.
 
today my doorm has internet all day (woohoo) instead of just from 17:30 to 00:00 so today its cow cow cow.. just wondering.. does any1 know a place where a lf javazon can mf besides cow? getting kinda boring... oh and my friend got a 3/alot/alot smallcharm yesterday so hes rich now and im mfing for my own benefit :xsmile:

For a better place to mf, I suggest getting yerself a merc, training him up to your level, and heading over to the pits. there's still a risk of a few light immunes there, but every item in the game can be dropped by champs/unique baddies.

As for the helm thang, a light facet in griff = badboy, but consider nightwing too, or whatever that other ama helm is called. A light facet in that will moider 'em all :xsmile:

The Cow King is 100% lightning immune, so as long as you don't target him directly with your LF zon, he won't get hurt at all. That means you will virtually never kill the king with a LF zon while a hammerdin will kill him quite easily. When he produces the lightning from his lightning enchantment, it may be too late because he is zero magic immune IIRC.
