mfing meph

I've made a fireball/blizzard sorc and i can't seem to kill anything in nm. I do about 500-650 damage with my fireball, and about 500-600 with my blizzard. Anybody have any suggestions about what i should do to upp my damage or if you think i could mf meph by myself with this damage.

Well first off, what lvl are you? What equipment do you wear and is it built for max mf or survivability? You should be able to kill meph with a decent cast rate and alot of mana, but it may take awhile and you may die a few times in the process.

right now im level 64, so it makes me feel weak that i am so high and do little damage. i have an alibaba, chancies, goldwrap, waterwalks, nagelrings, and some armor that i cant remember how to spell.

To make the blizzballer work you really need a couple things.... + skills and cast rate. Decrease your mf and increase your cast rate and + skills. The easiest way to do that is swap out the chancies and put in mage fists. Put the alibaba on switch with a rhyme shield and go with p Diamond lidless or splendor and occulus on main. Also a P topaz Shako or (if you haven't found a shako yet) get a +2 skills circlet type hat and socket it and hope for 2 sockets that you can p topaz. If you are really poor a 4 socket ghost shroud with 4 p topaz, or wealth, or probably the best option for cheap is a P topaz Viper magi. For rings try and find (or best option gamble) +10 FCR with resists and 10-15 MF. This set up is cheap to come by and will work well. Yes it decreases your MF but you will kill much faster and will survive. Less MF and faster MF runs will yeild more useful items than slow high MF runs that you have difficulty surviving.

You could mf him, but it would take forever. Go lvl some more than change up to an occy or something, this still has mf but gives you skills and FCR as well, which will make your runs faster. If you want to switch as well like Myladis said go for it.
