Malice Runeword

It seems to me that the Malice runeword is (for my pricerange) the way to go for UberKilling. Dont get my wrong my summoner's got good gear(Trang's set, 2 SoJ, +3summ ammy, marrows, 5summgcs, staff of teleport on switch), but the malice runeword seems to have all of the mods my merc needs to bonk some heads in UberTrist:

100%openwounds
Prevent monster heal

So now, not only are the Uber's NOT regaining thousands of life in the blink of an eye, they're actually bleeding out.

Lower def 25%
-100def per hit

It's not much, but everybit helps my Urdar smash the Biggies

I was thinking something like this

Act 2 Might merc
Malice Polearm(not sure which weapon)
Guillame's face
Upped Rattlecage(for more CB, other options?)

This would seem like a solid merc for soloing Ubers. He seems a it fragile, but There'll be about 45 other bodies drawing attention from him.

I'm sure there's better stuff out there, but do ya'alls think it'd be viable for us cheap folk?

Prevent monster heal wont work on the ubers {or bosses in general}.

The -deff & -%deff / ect only apply to the person applying it to the critter; only your merc will hit more.

Open wounds deals damage per lvl of the person applying. It wont stack, and in general it wont do noticable damage vrs something with that much hit points.

Without much + res on your merc, he will most likely die in 1 hit from a charged bolt from mephy, or from the fumes from a pitlord, or from the nova thingy from baal.

Speaking from hc experiance with a summoner, get +res all & crushing blow first, and after those two are covered, try to find something that helps the party {auras, chance to cast spells other than curses that might effect a pack of summons - ice blast is pretty handy}

OW stops their regen, I believe. Otherwise, I cannot kill them with my pitiful 1k smite, even with CB, since they regen 16k a second.

It does stop regen. Some Poison Mages should also help with that.

Even better, poison from mages lasts 500 seconds and more, so you can go out for a beer in between, if you want to...
