Mace's Humble Beginning

It's always been on my mind for a while, how're all these monsters stuffing themselves with fresh foods, produce, and miscellaneous items they all seem to drop?

But more on topic.. Currently in A3 start of Sewers, A1 wasn't much to write home about, however come A2 Ur was able to get his gear in place; Noteable drops in A2 includes: 4os Partizan, Lidless Eye, Peasant Helm, Frostburns, and a Hel rune
As for A3 noteable drops goes to: Lum(!--awesome), and Wraith Greaves Greaves(got it from killing the populace while touring Lower Kurast/Bazaar)

Still working on my hotkey management in order to get Bain's Gavel of Pain working properly.. In practice it works wonders, but getting it to work in methodical order is like learning how to drive stick.. it's clunky.. If only Druids were able to cast charged spells while morphed.. Shame shame.

Regardless, Ur lv62 @ NM Sewers as of this posting.

Ur-in trouble.
And that is why Vile Bender the Axe was long forgotten in the Sewers of Kurast.
Kidding aside, the key to killing these annoying guys is splitting their attention; simply cast your bear infront of the slowly advancing horde of skeletons then run up and hit the unique monster from behind.

As for loots, I yet again happen to pass by another Natalya's helm.. seems like she is trying to get rid of evidence in the Sewers. Another Tal's Belt dropt above ground in Upper Kurast.

And the best loot to drop came from Mephisto..

Yes that's right, perfect Spellsteel(!) which I am set on passing it onto Mace. This in hand will cover most of which Mace lack: Teleport. It also has the potential of saving 4(!) skill points as it has Decripify charges to it.

Ur's very first physical immune obstacle--luckily we got Bain's Gavel of Pain

Aside from that, souls keeps frying Ur's Oak Spirit.. Hellforge gave Ur an Um. Fastforward abit and a little bit into A5 and Ur happens upon a pair of Magefist.

And so, as of this posting, Ur (lv67) rests at the WP of Frigid Highlands.

Nothing much to report, the going is getting a bit rougher upon arriving into A5, what with the introduction of the Frenzytaurs. As the saying goes: the best defense is a good offense, and since I wasn't so fond of tanking them while dealing with them, seeing as they deal a whooping 100-300 dmg per swing, I've taken to amplifying packs of em whenever I get the chance to.

Now in the process of this playthrough, Ur happened upon a Ko rune as well as a pretty neat looking sorc amulet.

So as of this posting, Ur (lv72) is waiting at the entrance of Glacial Trials.

Random D2Talk: In the picture below you'll see a Rancid Defiler and a Hell Temptress, they are the standard average D2 mob.. But after running WSK so many times now, an ephiphany came to me when I saw these two monsters side-by-side together. There's an innuendo here. I never really gave it much thought, but after getting fed up with these Rancid Defilers always running away after placing their wyrm spawns into Hell Temptress, it came to me.. These Rancid Defilers are nothing more than mutated lust filled human slash ballsack out on their way to impregnate whatever monster they come across. I'm surprised this got through Quality Control.

Aside from that Ur successfully passed Ancients Trials, most of it involved sitting (good 7mins~) and waiting til Ur's mercenary successfully dispatched an unbreakable physical immune Talic. Ran across that ephiphany earlier. Killed Baal for crap drops, did cows for exp, and successfully branded Ur's will onto the Spellsteel.

It's splendorous

I managed to cube up my saved up Io's into a Lum and rolled a Splendor into Bain's head. Since I no longer need Decripify as it's built into Ur's Spellsteel, I had Mace respec in NM. This in effect gives him 4 additional skill points which I redistributed into Revive, which I figure will grant Mace a stronger army; 9 skeletons and 7 revives for a grand total of 15, not including Mercenary and Gumby.

That aside, before moving onto Hell I managed to have Mace outfitted with a nicely gambled necklace boasting 54 mana and 24 pdr which I believe is a godsend as Mace himself is full Vit for the most part.. with little to no emphasis on resistance. And while on that note, I managed to boost his overrall MF to 350~, but again this is at the expense of his survivability.

So what dropt in Hell?
Firstly, I will preface with the fact that I'll be playing Mace continually at /p3. But back on point, my first unique which quickly dropt by a pack of zombies was Duriel's Shell, which I slapped onto my mercenary.

Saw a damaged Duskshroud which I patched up, which surprisingly sporting the max defense.. I am unsure what I am going do with it though as it won't be able to get 3 sockets.

Raven Frost dropt in the field, another Lightsabre found in the tower, and a Lum and Pul while trekking into the interior of the cathedral where I decidedly stopped.

Thus Mace (lv79) takes his time meandering through Interior of the Cathedral.

Elsewhere with Bain..
While breaking the routine, a Vex popped out of a zombie (which died due to Andarial's on-death-killzone), which begs the context: it's the little things that count.
