Do people generally run with minimal MF for this? I've never found a rune above Mal but if I can slap some gear on an old enchant sorc and tele some chests I may be re-rolling some LK maps. With the right map you could do these faster than Pindle runs.

Yes...1 in about 3700 runs to get a high rune. And if you can average 30 seconds per run, thats about 31 hours of running LK chests.

So far I've found um, 3x lum, io and plenty of hel's and lower runes, while running p3. Haven't bothered to take note of the piles since can't get screenshots.

Also vex from random skele. The lo seems quite elusive...

Edit: and I run with 63frc sorc with full PDR gear. Zero mf.

Wearing MF neither helps nor hurts you when running LK superchests.

so can these runs be done on ladder or are these for single player? and if it can be run on ladder do i need 3-4 people in game to get rune?

Yes, but you count so that 2-3 additional people.

There are some other technicalities with partied players but as long as they aren't there in LK with you, it doesn't matter.

Also, these discussions are specific to finding Lo from the special chests and its still an average of around 1/36,000 of finding it.

I found a Gul RUne on /p3 actually. Accompanied by a large charm. I wanted a Lo!:confused2::laugh:

So you have better chance of finding Lo rune on p3, than on p7? I thought that the higher the players settings, the higher propability for rune drop(not matter what rune).

The LK super chests are a slightly wierd this way. Certain player settings drop only the certain runes, however at much higher rates than monsters or regular chests.

If you are on battle.net I can think of many much more effective ways of aquiring a HR... Unless you mind dupes that is.

On topic:
I'm gonna start try lk running at either /p 3-4 or /p7-8 once I get my new sorceress up and going.

I was thinking, since you are going to spend a theoretical average of 3,7k runs for a 2 campfire map. Woudln't it be worth it to take some extra time rerolling the map to get 3 campfires (I actually never had 3 myself, but I heard people claim they have) on a at least decent fast-runable map, that would cut the runs for any HR on /p7 to 2,4k runs. Ofc the runs would take a bit longer on a 3 campfire map, but it would still be faster to run 2 x 3campfire runs than 3 x 2 campfire runs..

Thoughts?

Only thing I've ever heard about the 3 campfire maps is, that they don't exist, just a rumour.

How do you re-roll maps? Is there a map file you have to delete or something?

I've spent a lot of time in the past trying for a 3-campfire map. I don't really think there is such a thing.

Wow, somehow I missed this thread completely. I've done a few p3 LK runs in the past, 264 to be precise. The idea being to level up by meteorb runner against the easier boss packs while still finding some useful items. The best rune so far is an underwhelming Sol. I think I'll go do a few more runs now :smiley:

I finally found that Lo Rune. Same pattern with the Balanced Axe...:thumbsup:

Wow thats only like 170k runs on /players 8 to get enough runes to cube a zod... lol 59 days running straight at 30 seconds per run. Good luck! :thumbsup:
