lightning fury + pierce + attack rating = ?

Assume the following scenario:

1. Amazon throws javelin towards large enemy pack
2. The javelin reaches a monster, LF autohits and bolts are released
3. Pierce is 100% and the javelin goes on to next monster on its path
4. Chance to hit check on that monster fails (assuming there is a check)

What happens then?

a. 2nd round of bolts released regardless, but the javelin does not pierce that monster (i.e. that's it for this LF throw)
b. 2nd round of bolts released regardless, and the javelin pierces that monster (i.e. the same thing will happen for the next monster on the javelin path, assuming there is one)
c. No 2nd round of bolts and the javelin does not pierce that monster (i.e. that's it for this LF throw)
d. No 2nd round of bolts and the javelin pierces that monster (i.e. the same thing will happen for the next monster on the javelin path, assuming there is one)

As you can imagine, I am trying to figure out whether attack rating is of any consequence for the lightning damage output of an LF javazon. Thx for any input!

And there your idea fails. There isn't an ar check for lightning fury as it's auto hit. It will hit what ever you do - maybe not with block, but defence and ar are not important.
Hence, you don't need any.

Anyway, assuming that it is important (forinstance, for elemental bowbased amazons or poison based amazon) it should be option a if I'm informed correct.

Re: lightning fury + pierce + attack rating = ?

So, the short answer would be that the javelin needs to hit in order to pierce?

In a nutshell, I am trying to figure whether ar has any impact on multiple LFs triggering with one throw, assuming 100% pierce and conveniently places monsters.

Yes.

However, ar does not have an impact.

The one has noting to do with the other.

Slap on a razortail and you'll get all the LF bolt triggers and pierces you can dream of...
