Destroyer! Dakota went in swinging against Baal on players8, had to pop back to town to revive my merc once, he dropped nothing of use unfortunately. Crafted a Safety Crown with +1shadow disciples skills which was cool. Imbued a mage plate, that is iffy, might have to up it though, as it'll be slightly better due to higher ac than my current crafted plate.

Made a start before bed time.

Amithae is now a level 13 javazon. I honestly didn't expect to survive this long, having an incredibly low opinion of the javelin skills, so actually went and made her a proper HC character without a thought.

I'm begginning to wonder if that was so smart :smiley:

I've yet to have a character that can do so much damage so easily at this point of the game. Poison Javelin can dish out around 270 damage over 20 seconds per throw, and while aiming it right is taking a little practise, I can quite easily clear a dungeon floor on 30-40 javelins alone. Repair costs are minimal (Well that's to be expected, seeing as the only non-starter gear I have is some chain gloves and chain boots with small resists on them).

Even on P8 I can just throw 2-3 javs, then run around in circles and avoid being hit. They'll all drop dead sooner or later. The toughest (health wise) opponent I've fought is Blood Raven. She took about 5 throws to slay, and a fair bit of patience (2 minutes of waiting...)

Amithae has claimed the Stony Fields waypoint and plans to trek through the underground passage in the morning.

This doesn't have an effect on my current class, but if I should be(and most certainly will in due time) be slain, if go with a Barb and don't get my weapon mastery, are we viewing that as acceptable to equip a helm only for that passive ability? Or aren't we condoning it? Or maybe just cheesy?
 
Gweniver has finished act 3 after a bit or a rest. Mephisto dropped 2 nice uniques one would have been perfect to use except of course its not my weapon type. No NDEs yet and now that I have venom doing some nice damage with blades.

Well, it was all going great, Andy dropped a useless String of Ears(yeah, useless for me, :jig: ) Duriel and Mephisto followed suit with nadda. Hit level59. Then came the fun part. Act4, did I mention half of act4 nm is fire immune? Yeah. Big problem for my lonely Fist of Fire. Dakota made a strong run and her gas ran out about when I thought it would, ShadowMaster and my merc didn't have enough punch to punch it and unless I wanted to run endless something in, possibly trav until I got amazing gear I was doomed.

Biggest thing I felt hurt her, was my belt, boots, and armor were caster craft class. Really didn't do me much good I must say.

Amithae and her rogue companion have just reached the inner cloister waypoint. Still no trouble so far, the countess dropped like a fly (And dropped me two El runes :undecided: )

The game taunts me by dropping good rare javelins and armor that she cannot use (No armor 'till act 3 or late act 2 with a lucky gamble...), and her stash is brimming full of chippies. Poison javelin now does almost 600(!) damage over the course of 24 seconds of poison. I am immensly looking forward to Plague Javelin.

Max blocking has been reached with aid of a gambled bone shield. That plus my pre-requisite point in dodge more than makes up for the fact I've yet to add to vitality, though it can be irritating against ranged attackers or large packs of melee types that catch me, I frequently go into a dodge/block lock until my rogue can gain their attention. Decoy will be useful to help stop this...

Reroll of energy gives you:
Strength

Even if you can't use throwing weapons, I don't know by the rules or kool69 if you can reroll a skill because you can't use it. I think that just might be the way it is for an unlucky barbarian :undecided: I don't know, I need some clarification on this one.
