EJB ? Druid ? A1 ? ? RetDuriel has been slain! after pressing M halfway through the battle to realise.. Oh no /players 5 was set.. It took me a while, had to bring my mercy back once.. With her charged up Tigerstrike and the odd CoT finihshing with Dragon Tail Duriel lasted about 11 full hits. I was happy to see one thing from this drop. Guess which one, I then decided that after a little venture to the Docks where Mephisto awaits me in time. I would go back and do a countess run because well, I need to make myself a few low level runewords.. Instead of getting a rune I need, I get this. So Hygieia is on her way to the forests of Kurast, she hasn't been looking forward to this moment because well. Aracnaphobia is not a good thing in those caverns.

Pirana kills Baal (in spite of a bone head mistake!)
Baal was killed without going back to town. But, I had no choice in the matter. Before going through Baal's portal, I decided to throw away both of my tomes (no portal scrolls!) and all of my charms. I would like to brag that I did that just to increase the challenge. NOT SO. You see I have this weakness. I like to take everything that I find (of any value at all) back to town and sell it. But I also like to have a backpack full of charms. My little trick is probably one that many of you have used. After I find a lot of "stuff", I lay my charms and tomes down and pick up the "stuff" and go back to town. Well, this time I decided to light up my portal right up there on Baal's pedestal. It seemed like a neat place for a portal and I had never put one there before.
When I clicked on what I thought was my portal back to town, it activated the portal to Baal and I found myself in Baal's lair with no charms (no big deal) and no portal scrolls (big deal!). Of course, I was playing on players 8. No sense in making things easy. As usual Baal cast a duplicate of himself. The battle ensued! After quite some time (probably 3 minutes), we (my Act 2 merc, the valkarie and Pirana) killed one of the Baal's. Shortly thereafter, the merc was killed. That is serious because he does a lot of damage with his unique polearm (the Tannr Gorerod Pike). Of course, I still had my level 20 Valkarie, and Pirana is no slouch with her "Edge" long bow. Baal finally died just before I needed to spend my last full rejuv potion. Whew!
I guess I should look at the bright side. Now when I start NM, I won't have all that space taken up with charms!

EJB ? Druid ? A1 ? ? RetWell, overcoming her Aracnidphobia she ventured through the forest.. Luckily for Hygieia she only saw spiders in the cavern and none after that!.. While travelling through the deep forest on the way to the Kurasts.. something was found that helped beyond believe.. A 3os pike, socketing it with an ed jewel and a tal rune, she awaits a skull to place inside as well. Her mercy is now doing 170-330 damage. Finally with her many gambling sprees she was able to get a Rare Blade Talon and her first War Hammer. With Tigerstrike on 3 charges her War hammer can get around 300-500 damage (Mephisto would see the force of that damage). Questing on through will no troubles she made it to Travancil. Backing away and letting her "tank" do most of the work she would charge in for the final kill as she smashed the orb. Once she finally reached mephisto, she stopped in her tracks to count her potions and get herself ready. Her Mercy though a rather impatient one decided to run in head first while she was preparing. Pulling out her warhammer and charging it up she kept on striking, but for the first time Mephisto was attacking her! not her mercy. As the battle ended, to her shock.. 2 uniques dropped!.. An Etheral Chain mail and Brandstock (sp?).. She now gains her strength under the wings of Tyreal as she prepares for her biggest challanes. Izual, Hephisto and the infamous Diablo.

Venom will work nicely with blade fury and death sentry is always nice although without synergies DS will be fairly weak. Mind blast is a interesting utility skill with my ranged attacks but blade shield doesn't go with my build at all. I would rather have had a shadow instead of MB and WoF or LS instead of blade shield, but I will try it.
If no one minds me roleing for myself then I will start this char, if people do mind could someone role me with 3-2 traps, shadow and swords as a weapon.

First...and last update for my Necromancer. Here is what happened: Act 1, breeze. Clay Golem did the trick. I earned my Iron Golem and Decrepify in Act 2 and made my golem out of a rare random sword I found. He was tearing tru everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Then came Duriel.
Fight starts

Golem's health goes down
Notice I'm still playing on Players8
Notice a pile of metal on the ground
Duriel charge my necromancer
Deed screen
It was boring anyway...but I hate to see a pretty Iron Golem die. They're just so cool. Oh and advice: if you take a Necromancer Summoner, pray for a good roll.

baal was a pain to kill, but thanks to my merc (he didn't die once against him) and his +50 poison dmg pike (he was using one of my failed attempts of a savage lochaber axe, a savage halberd of carnage) he finally went down.
He dropped 6 items, none of them are available for me to use, and the crown was a crappy rare, not worth it to put it on the merc...

I think I said I've gambled a gothic armour so am now fully clothed, and whatsisname (been away from the game too long, memory hazy)...the council member just inside Durance 3, dropped me a blue Aerin Shield, so I'm fully kitted out in the best of normal items allowed in all body parts. Hoorah.
On to Act IV now, Big D, I can smell you're brimstone already!

Rescued Cain. I've discovered a serious weakness for my low-defense, no-blocking spearzon: archer packs are ripping me apart. I'm still mostly playing on players 8, so I can always make things easier for myself... but I'd rather not just yet. Killing isn't hard, but I'm a little nervous: I only have 4 more levels before I max out Lightning Strike, and then my main damage won't increase except through the addition of +skills gear (which I have none of at the moment).
Ridiculous lucky strike: this character found her *second* Gull Dagger, in the NM Dark Wood. Weird. And of course, completely useless in this tournament...

Scepters are NOT a class weapon - you have to choose them as your main weapon (since they're not part of the maces group).oya said:someone roll me plz:

One thing's for sure, a non-summoning Necro is REAL expensive as far as skill points go. I might have to make a golemancer just to shake this icky anti-necro feeling.

The quest is the socket quest, I can complete it right now, since I've already killed shenk and haven't started NM yet, but I haven't activated the great marsh wp. Can I just go back to act 3 and start looking for it? or they must be activated in order? (if it's the second, in act 5 I've activated halls of pain before glacial trail too)
The rules don't say anything about the order, but my guess is that once the act is over (by moving to another act) it mut be completed by then. So I can complete the A5 quest, but my char is disqualified since starting act 4, since the great marsh wp wasn't activated at the time.
How can I handle it? Should I retire him from the tourney?
