There's been a few close calls!.. Fant'd group with LE. Right beside HS with CE.. thank goodness my mercy is doing about 50-80 damage.. mostly poison but nevertheless.. I made it to andariel.. Just gambling myself 2 blade talons I was ready to take Andy on. With 100% Poison length reduced gear on I wasn't afraid at all. Charging in with TigerStrike/CoT... and finishing with Dragon tail.. it only took about 5 full shots to take her down.. Rares galore and a Topaz dropped.. not much to say but Hygieia has gotten herself a Desert Mecry and she is ready to fight radament.!

The Ancients have fallen, and now all that stands between Straightskunk and NM difficulty are a few pesky Minions and a bug named Baal.

Odd and irritating fact: not a single freakin' matriachal pike has dropped for my character in this game (the only class specific item she is permitted to wield). Sigh.

I am not sure of how class specific weapons for amazons are rolled....
Since there are pikes, bows, and javelins...
However, judging for the other amazons(including mine), Kool69 rolled the class specific item from the weapon of choice, so your bow was rolled out of stag and reflex bow.
Shield is rolled just in case you get a good one before getting your primary weapon (remember that amazons starting weapon is a javelin, so you may use this javelin as long as you like).

I've stared at this character for a long time trying to figure out 'what to reroll?'
a) Energy!!!?? This means that both of my characters have had energy as their initial attribute. I chose to reroll this first time and got strength.
b) Skills: In bow skills, I was hoping for one of the following skills: strafe, GA, MA or MS, plus one of the cold damage arrow skills as the 2nd skill, Well, at least Fire Arrow is a synergy of Exploding Arrow, and Pierce does help a lot and gives me an excuse to put a point into Critical Strike and Penetrate. But Decoy and Slows Missiles? Auggh! I've never put more than one point into either. Those were the the two least useful Passive skills to roll.
c) Equipment: A composite bow is not a bad roll: it is fast which is what counts with an elemental bow skill. But Quilted Armor guarantees low defense, and a Belt limits me to two rows until Nightmare.

Oh well, I need to tackle the worst of the problems. I'd like to reroll my attribute - could someone help me out? Dexterity or vitality, please!

Got my Cube.. made I believe 7 normal gems >.>.. I also just found the Set helm.. I thought it was fullhelm at first.. that would have been awesome .. Hygieia is tearing through everything with TS/CoT combo, only using dragontail when surrounded..

Had a little time to play today. Got through to the inner cloister. Playing at /p3 or 4 to level up a bit before Andy. No major finds...I'm still looking for a 2os ghost armor. Or a 2os aerin sheild. One major NDE, to Pitfull or whaterver his name is in Jail lvl 2. I should have just parked him, but after getting him to half life, I just had to go back. I used just about 6 purples and most of my reds. And I was glad I did go back. He dropped this

So, though I have a little question concerning the scoring, I will update my guy.

Just killed Diablo, he wasn't too hard, bought a three socketed grand scepter with +2 to zeal, and socketed it well.


Level 26= -26
Quests 21= 42
WP 26= 26

Score = 42

Now here is my scoring problem. It seems that not everyone is using the same WP scoring numbers. Some seem to be counting the WP in town, while some are not. (i.e. Act I has 8 WP's you find and one in town, same with Act II, III, and IV,)

Some seem to be counting the one in town and some not. I don't think it is a big problem, we just need to get on the same page.

My current WP count is not counting in town, if it is decided we are counting the one in town, I will have five more points.

Hmm maybe I should of clarified level 1 counts as a level gained.

So if you are level 6 you have -6 points.

Town waypoints are also counted in the total wp calculation. So say you have completed the Den of Evil, have activated the town and cold plains wp, and are level six. You have a total of (2 + 2 - 6) = -2 points.

And questions are fine, they help keep everyone on the same page.

Mulligan the Bowazon

Mulligan the Bowazon, started her adventure! She perservered with her starter weapon and buckler, quickly getting a Quilted Armor and Belt. In eth Dark Woods she reached Level 12 and was able to gamble a Compiste Bow and sink her first point into Exploding Arrow (with 5 in Fire Arrow for its synergy). The game immediately became easier. She has now killed the Countess and is resting at the Inner Cloister. She is a clvl 15, and has -1 points.

Well, I think it is time for an update.
Just defeated Duriel....I made a whole lot of preparations(lowered to players 1, fillled inventory with potions, tons of full rejuvs)...and I didn't have to spend ANY POTIONS AT ALL!!!!
Level 10 charged strike worked well enough, I used what, 8 of them? And they killed him like nothing! I was totally amazed.....
The amount of equipment I find is quite strange too, though I can't use most of it....found 10 unusable sets/uniques(amongst these, the unique spiked shield, which I had never seen), and 3 usables(hsarus shield and belt, and nagelring)(in case you care, rest of equipment is nadir helm, stealth armor, magical MF gloves and crappy rares for the rest)
So far my main problem is mana, i don't have any leeching(seems useless as well), and I have to eat potions like crazy.....maybe once I get a sol I'll get an act 2 merc with "insight"?
So far I'm still using my act 1 fire rogue,works well enough with a decent rare bow... I was going to give her either some 3-socket bow with tal's and ral's, or an "edge" bow...(once I get that amn)
As you can see, I'm not too sure what to do.

Defeated Blood Raven (on players 8, which was tough, as she has pretty good lightning resistance and is darn fast... not dangerous tough, just long and boring tough). Looking forward to rescuing Cain tonight. Only found one notable item... a decent new rare pike for my merc. Doubled his damage instantly.

One thing I didn't notice about my equipment selections at first, but am well aware of now: absolutely no crafting possibilities, other than a Safety Sash (and rings and amulets and merc armor/helm). So for the most part, I can either sell off gems, or keep them for rerolling items. I may try to craft a sash (I'm still wearing a rare sash, haven't found a good exceptional version yet), if I can gamble a blue exceptional sash.

Thanks, I started this tourney 20+ pages into the thread, and didn't go back and read the whole thing. (my connection was not working quickly on this site at the time). I had just become confused because it looked like there were two different scoring ways being posted by others, anyway, I will have to update my score (+5 for town waypoints).
