Key drop statistics

Could anyone who has done >50 key runs please say how many keys dropped for them, and the character levels of the characters they used to do the key runs?

I am asking this b/c it seems for some people they get ~20% success whereas others seem to have <1% success rate, and I'm wondering what the average is and whether character level affects in a sliding scale the chance for a key to drop.

Please mention whether by runs you mean killing one of the three individually or killing all three (e.g. "I did 100 Nithalak runs and got x keys" or "I killed all three 50 times each and got y keys total")

PLEASE people like me who haven't done many runs don't reply with random "oh that sucks" or "I wish I had that many keys" or whatever and let people with USEFUL information post here for a bit....

Thanks....

Level 87 Sorceress running Summoner+nilathak 10 runs
5 keys of destruction
2 keys of hate

hey what can i say? i stole your luck.

its all about random, 1 on 34 chances to get a key from each boss
and they can drop 2 keys at a time ( i heard about 3 keys, but not sure, only got 2 keys a shot for the moment)
looks like you got the 33 other shots every time ^^ hehe good luck tho

I ran my Hammerdan for about 2 hours today key hunting, killing all three in the same game (50 runs, total give or take) and found enough keys for 2 body part sets and excess that I traded for some runes and gear.

OK, let's have an analogy ...
We all know the odds of getting Heads:Tails are 50:50
If Simon flipped a coin three times and got Heads on all three occasions.
Does that mean the coin is bugged in some way? Simons reckons it is, but we all know that he didn't make enough flips. Had he made around 1 million flips, the likely outcome would be 500,00 Heads:500,000 Tails

Likewise, if you are going to do 1 million runs, the likely number of keys you get will be close to 30,000 - start running!

I have made about one hundred nith runs. I can do one in about 3 minutes. I did this one only because the key is worth both others. I have found 7 keys. i used 3 of these to trade for the 6 other needed hate/terror.

If u can get to nith he is easy.

There are only 3 maps from the wp.

One you go down a little then left.
Two you go down a lot then a little left.
three you go up and right.

then run to him using whatever method.

To kill w/o dying. I use a hammerdin. I get close release about 5-6 qucik hammers then tele back to edge. He can not corpse exp past a certain range. then the enemies will follow u. Kill them. then kill nith.

3 minutes is the longest this takes.

Just tele on top of 'em and he's done

Tuesday:
lvl 91 hammerdin running nihli, countess and summoner: 4 keys in about 50 min.

wednesday:
lvl 91 hammerdin: 30 runs nihli : 3 keys
lvl 89 sorc: 30 runs countess : 2 keys
both in same game.
doing the arcane santuary togheter in same game to save time: 3 keys

done with 2 ppl (Obvious) on 1,5 hour i think

total 12 key's, 4 of each (when we had enough key's we stopped running the keydropper)

You mean close to 500000 head:500000tails. The probability of getting exactly that is VERY low. 1000000 choose 500000 / 2^1000000

I did about 20+ runs of countress + summonner, and got 6 keys in total.
