is lightning strike any use other than being synergy?

I add pts to lightning strike for sake to boost damage for lightning fury n charged strike...

is there any useful in pvm?

Some claim there to be a few situation where it might be more interesting then charged strike or lightning strike. Yet the situations are rare and charged strike and lightning fury will still result in good killing speed.

So no, it's not really useful. The safe way is to always use charged strike and lighting fury as those are always good. If you want, you can experiment with it and find those few situations, yet I don't think it's worth the effort.

So I wouldn't say it's useful, I would say it's less useless then the other synergies.

agreed - for me it's just a synergy for ChS and LF.

also, I read that the valkyrie has damage of +475% at lvl 20... does that mean I should be wearing my most damaging weapon when I cast her?

A valk gets her own set of equipment. One of them is a big nasty spear. That 475% is counted as off-weapon ed for that spear. So you weapon isn't important.

However, there should be some prebuffing so you want to wear as many +skill as possible (or just ignore prebuffing all together).
I'm not sure what gets prebuffed and what not. The equipment is certainly prebuffed yet things as life and ed might be different. All I know is that it's quite complicated and not worth studying. As long as she doesn't die, you're fine.
