Infinity Questions

HI,

I'm getting together the wealth for an Infinity for my PvM Sorc and have a few questions...

1. Where do you get Mana from? Currently I have an Insight merc, and about break even with mana use having invested no points in Mana at all. If I switched to Infinity would I just need to pot all the time? Or should I remake my sorc with plenty of Mana and Warmth?
(I get most of my mana from Spirit Monarch and Shako, currently using a Crescent Moon Sword, but will switch to Spirit when I get my Infinity)

2. Fire or Light? I'm thinking Light with ES, but again I have a lot of concerns about my mana being able to sustain such a build...

1) I'd say just use pots , or try to use gear that gives alot of mana like shako/spirits

Doesn't that get really annoying - potting all the time? Or do you get used to it?

It's just that I have never used a mana pot on any char beyond level 30, maybe I'm just spoiled from having basically infinite mana all this time :sad2:

Use pots in the begining and get your hands on some Frostburns

Hold the infinity with your sorc, and keep an insight on merc.

A question then...

The 50% Chance to cast Level 20 Chain Lightening...

Does that mean when you start to take down a mob that you start spamming Chain Lightning everywhere?

Is the number of castings affected by cast rate, or if you kill 10monsters in a group in one second, that you'll then cast about 5 Level 20 CLs in that second in addition to normal casting?

Or does it interrupt normal casting?

Is the CL in this case synnergised by Light Mastery?

That seem only work when you take down a mob with melee attack.

I can't say from personal experience how often it goes off when you hold it yourself, but CL has no casting delay, so it won't interrupt anything you're actively casting.

And yes, CL will be enhanced by LM (not synergized because LM isn't technically a synergy) and also synergized by whatever other synergies you invest in.

From my personal experience , it never goes off when you use spell. I use CB for testing , I clear the whole pit level 2 without a single CL goes off.
