GUYS,

id like to share this you because recently someone tried to cheat on me.

He first wanted to trade ENIGMA ARCHON PLATE with my "White" wand and Gul. That didn't make sense. Alright I did wat he said. then, after we accepted the trade, my char said "overburden". wth??? alright. so we did it again. this time we did the same thing again, BUT IM NOT STUPID. i put my white and gul in my trade screen AND...... he put his "ENIGMA" in his trade screen. Im not stupid enough and i checked it and it was just a plain, simple, white, cheap looking LIGHT PLATE. i immediately said some extremely rude words and he just simply LEFT! oh my GOd no one knows how pissed i am UNTIL NOW even though i didn't get cheated or hacked.

second is a short story. someone told all of us that when he added "this guy" to his friend list, he lost everything.

This scam is old and well-known. There's a list of known scams in the Newcomer forum you should also be wary about. Good to see you didn't get ripped off, although posting his account name here won't really do much, since the odds of someone encountering this person (and remembering his account well enough to recognize him as the one who tried to scam you) is slim.

I don't mean this offensivly, but... So? You didn't get scammed neither were you stupid enough to get scammed. People attempt to scam all of us ALL the time all you can do is say "Lol nice try" and leave the game, that's it end of story. Of course you could always say "Lol noob" and stuff but that's childish.

Your accountname can be seen in-game - or at least, it could, haven't been to Battle.net in ages. But anyway, it should be safe, especially if it's someone from these forums. Just make sure you don't give your password to anyone.

I know what you are saying. The point is related to the 1st post when reading

So , is there a hacking method that does not need the password to be efficient....I am not asking for the recipe in case it exists, just asking for the possibility of it.
Is this also related to the current wave of hacked people on this forum ?

I feel for you. But on the positive side of things, you didn't lose too much. Dol + Io drops a lot from countess, and 20 pgems can probably get you a Gul nowadays. I hope you do not get too upset, it happens.

Even though it's more infantile, I would probably prefer a "lol noob" because i know that will make him more upset than a detailed explanation about his amateur scam attempt. I never make bnet trades like that, however, to avoid situations like these.
