imbuing?

having never tried this myself, but having recently found an ethereal crystal sword, i've become really interested in imbuing these. does anyone know if there's an ideal character level to get really good mods?

i had massive ed% and ias in mind, mostly. sockets or fool's would be gravy

Try my manipulation guide in the SPF FAQ, it goes over how the imbue process works and what clvls need to be to get affix levels.

I am fairly sure that eth items remain eth after the imbue process all otherr rerolls will destroy the eth property. I think it was RTB who stated the eth imbue thing but I don't remember exactly what he said about it.

I would think a clvl 70+ character should be enough for the imbue to be worthwhile.

Eth crystal swords are perfect for imbuing, they won't lose the eth property when upgraded to phase blades.

If you upgrade ethereal armor, however, they lose the 50% ED bonus from being ethereal when upgraded.

The higher level you are when you imbue the better.

minimum lvl to imbue is 80 to make it worth while imo(the higher the better)always use elite base items and keep your fingers crossed, good luck

Best of all is that phaseblades don't have durability so the eth crystal sword will bocome indestructible when upgraded

to all those who replied about the ethereal crystal sword to phase blade bonuses -- thank you, i knew that already. :p

i was just looking for an ideal minimum level. i'm at level 81 right now but am wary for wasting my imube if i'm still too low level.
