I'm just sulking

No one wants to trade my HoZ off me :( (I post it the trade forums every couple of days... still no offers). All around I see people trading HoZ and Guls ( the other major thing i'm offering, all on Europe ladder by the way). But for me... Nothing. People look at my post, they don't reply :( Most of the time I get shunted to the second or third page without even a reply to my name. perhaps I post at the wrong time do you think? (I tend to post at about 11 am GMT) Or could it be that people really have no need for a 196% HoZ?
Gah either way it's annoying :(

This might mean that this does get shifted to the trading forum, but I'm after one in Europe.

I'm rune poor but have some good item, Storm, IK Armour, bartucs and that other new unique assassin thing - the lower powered one - sorry I can't be more specific.

What do you want for it?

Hey don't take it so personally. The trade forums are deluged with many, many new threads daily and it's very easy to overlook a few - especially during high-traffic hours.

A couple tidbits of advice:

- As Merick and Lord Shinnok mentioned, do something unique with your thread title to make it stand out. In fact, the Shinnmeister's idea does indeed work very well - funny titles will get hits; leave the FREE part out though. :lol:

- List prices with your wares; some people are squeemish about making offers. On my side of the pond, a 196 HOZ can go for Ist to Ist + Mal. 2 Ums are a popular price these days but a 196 is really nice and I would try to hold out for a bit more. Obviously I don't know Europe values though; my examples are based on USWest prices.
 
Either that or be like 500 free gold with every trade!

How can anyone pass that deal up?

I'd try posting a bit later. A lot of people are at work of in school at 11 am, and between that and the time the people come home, others will have started threads too, thus placing your thread on page two or three.
I personally never post a thread there before 4 am GMT+1, then you should have a lot more visitors.
By the way, the most crowdy time on the etf is saterday afternoon-early evening, the best time to start a thread you want to be quick running...
Also, make something catchy from your title, even if it's only some dumb alliteration, it will work, you know :)
For the rest I'm not sure, I haven't read your threads, but in such a threads, it always helps to state a clear expected offer or something.

So how would you guys go about advertising a HoZ then? (the gul appears to be selling reasonably well, think I can get a couple of BK rings out of it)

Almost exactly as Lord Shinnok laid 'er out:

or ...

[highlight] HOZ! HOZ! HOZ! GIT 'ER WHILE SHE'S HOZ ... er HOT! [/highlight]

Guls are easy to trade away - you could most certainly get two BKs, provided they aren't both perfect.

I listed the basic value for it in my first post in this thread. You decide whether that amounts to a kingdom or not. ;)
 
I find when I post with prices I get more responses. Don't limit it to just one specific price ... Like Ist + Mal .... put in some alternate prices... like "I would also take a SoJ for it"... "2 BK rings"... "looking for a Low HoTO"... "Mara's is a possibility"
... sometimes, you get ppl who don't want your HoZ, but see you need something they have... they reply in your thread getting it bumped to the top... and it just seems like once a few ppl respond, others follow suite..... that's the way to get around bumping :) hehehe.. and the mods and can't get ya for bumping cause you really honestly are not... just put enough stuff in there that people will respond.... that's the key!

Even exchanging your item to have somebody rush you "x" times may be an option?

I would prefer items like BK rings, sojs, blah blah blah.


Leave it open to people so they can offer things but still hint towards what your looking for. If i ever go looking for trades, i prefer those that are more open ended about what they want. Some elbow room when it comes to bidding or trading can sometimes provide you with options you hadn't considered previously.


As for the title, its all about dragging them in. Boobies bring people to them like 10 ten year old boys to Michael Jackson.
