I want to reinstall, but I only have my CD key!
Hey everyone. Man, it's been a while since I posted on these forums. I'm trying to reinstall Lord of Destruction on my computer, but I don't have the CD for that. I have my Diablo II CDs. However, I do still have a copy of my CD key for LoD written down, so I'd like to avoid having to buy another copy of the game since I already have the key. A few friends of mine I'd be playing with all have copies of the game (obviously, :wink3: ).
So my question is is there something I can do to use my key and avoid paying for a new copy of the game? I would assume copying the LoD CD from one of my friends wouldn't be illegal since I've paid for the game and still have the key I got, or am I wrong? I haven't tried to copy the CD before, so I'm not sure how hard that would be/if there's some sort of protection already on the thing.
