i want a simple answer!

hi all i'm going to be building me a new mf meteorb sorc and need a simple answer which setup do i use, full tals or part tals,hoto,shako. i dont need any figures or mind numbing calculations just simple facts! ive read a few stickies
and they all seem to follow the what came first chicken or egg syndrome.
also i aim for at least 300%mf with charms not 600%! so i dont realy care too much if i loose a little mf for a hardier build

any no nonsence answers would be cool thx :thumbsup:

if you aim for ~300 mf you're better off using uniques & get good res/fcr/skills from equip & use charms to get your mf up

setup i used on previous ladder :
occu
shako(pt)
viper(pt)
lidless(pd)
chancies
goldwrap
silkweaves/wt's
maras
soj+nagel

in total :
+10 sorc/all skills
80 fcr = 9fpa breakpoint
219 mf & 269 mf with perfect wt's
104res from equip + 30 from anya = 34 res on hell with equip alone

i used that equip for a while & worked great for mephi & i had 24x mf & max res without any problems & mephi went down pretty fast every time

on switch: Alibaba/Gull, Rhyme

231 without Ali/Rhyme
over 300-400 with Ali/Gull and Rhyme

Gives you the best protection and the amount of useful MF that you can have and also very very good damage. Outbeats the unique setup mentioned by Dahmer.

this sounds good but was realy hoping to stick wizzy/lidless on swich
which should with the other gear planned give me 105%fcr!
so ali/gul rhym may have to go! would 231%mf cut it? :thumbsup:

ps also how far away from max resists in hell would this build give me?

unique setup (not including gloves, rings, boots, shield):
highest str req item = lidless = 58 str - 2 str from shako & 5 str from maras = 51 str req
20vit & 20 ene from occu -> 40life & 40mana
2vit & 2ene from shako & 1-148life/mana based on lvl -> 1-152life & 1-152mana
5vit & 5ene from maras -> 10life & 10mana

total of 50life+1.5/lvl & 50mana+1.5/lvl

tal setup (not including gloves, rings, boots, shield):
highest str req = 84 (no +str on equip) -> 84str req -> 33more than unique setup = 66 less life
total life on tal set = 317
total mana on tal set = 179

so when u compare unique setup with tal setup conclusion is :
+life with uniques = 116+1.5/lvl (236life @ lvl80)
+mana with uniques = 50+1.5/lvl (170 @ lvl80)

+life with tal = 317
+mana with tal = 179

tal setup has 81 extra life & uniques setup has 10% dmg reduce

so if u dont play ladder & can get full 1.10 tals & dont care about the ugly mask & purple look i'd say use that along with lidless to get 63fcr bp (tals also has more res)

from point where look doesnt matter i agree with meli but if u care about look & dont like tals set just use the uniques

LOL, i have long long ago subjected to the fact that monsters will run in horror from my sorc when she wears full tals
