I need help with my 1H Charger

Hey guys, I had a look at the charger guide at the top of the forum and also did a search but didn't really find either to be of any great help.

My Charger is currently level 83 (will get him to 90ish hopefully) and has currently maxed Fanat, Might, Vigor and Charge with the rest of the points going into Holy Shield. My question is regarding his item setup. Here's what I was thinking:

CoA /w 2*Ruby Jewel of Virility (one is 37/7 and the other is 33/9)
E-Bugged Stone Archon (3497 def)
HoZ /w P Diamond
Death BA (he's currently using Oath because I don't have the runes for Death)
Steelrends
Verdungo's
Up'd Gore Riders
Angelic Ring/Ravenfrost
Angelic Ammy

And for casters I will swap out the CoA for a Kira's /w 14 All Res jewel and Angelic Ring/Ammy for Highlords and a Dwarf Star.

Will that setup work? Will I need max DR when dueling melee chars and if so, how? Swap out out the HoZ for a SS or E-Stone for Levi/Shaft?

I think with this setup I should get about 3-15k Charge damage with 60/90 deadly strike. My AR will be around the 15k mark, depending on setup and my defense should be about 15k as well. Will my damage/AR/Def be sufficient to kill and/or survive?

Just note that I play Single Player so Grief/Forti/BotD are out of my price range (for now at least). Thanks for readong and any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're doing PvM, then Death is a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very bad weapon choice. Just in case I'm being a bit too subtle, Death sucks in PvM. Hard.

Why? It has a 25% chance-to-cast Glacial Spike on striking. Glacial Spike freezes enemies. Frozen enemies can't be knocked back. Re-read that guide up top if you need a reminder on how important knockback is.

For PvP it'll work fine, I suppose. I don't really have any advice for you on PvP, since I don't do it. I just felt like I should point out Death's shortcomings in PvM before you burned the runes on it, in case that changes your mind.

Yeah, he's for PvP.
I have one point in Zeal for PvM because, despite your quite incredible guide, I feel charge is an absolutely horrible skill for PvM. I've taken two Charge Pally's before this one through the game solo, one was a Zeal/Charge hybrid and the other was meant to be a pure Charger but by the time I got to Hell I couldn't stand it any more and had to invest in Zeal. So when I started this one I made sure I got Zeal as soon as possible. Thanks for the advice though man. It's a shame an otherwise perfect Charger weapon was ruined by one stupid mod.
