I must share my adventure
Ok, so I have done the uber's 3 times with a group of friends, one of which is one of your ultimate twinkers (Max/Min) guys who plays a Hammerdin. So we never had any trouble, and myself and another friend were pretty much there for the ride.
So a few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to try and solo it with my Frenzy Barb. I began the long process of gathering up my keys, and I do not use Enigma, because I don't like teleporting. Mainly because I can fairly easily tear through the mobs on my way to get keys and it is a good way to get gems, runes, etc..
During my long and tedious key gathering missions, I accumilated my wealth and began to trade for what I thought I needed. There were so many opinions on what weapons to use. I already had an eEttinDeath axe and zDoom axe, but I knew I had to replace my Doom axe. Many people told me to make Grief and others EBOTD, but I finally decided to go Last Wish. I did not want to use Dracs Gloves, because I liked having a gloves that give +350% damage to demons and +20% FAR. I then completed my Chains of Honor and felt I was ready to do battle!! Items: (Andrial's Helm, Highlord amulet, CoH, RavenFrost/Dwarf Star, eDeath, LW, Perf String of Ears, Gore Riders, Inv full of +20 Life/+1 combat, + torch)
So I create my three gates to get the organs. The first time I tried to do this solo, I got my butt handed too me. (Had Naj's armor, Oath Axe and Crescant Moon axe). This time I found all three bosses easy and had NO problems killing them, and used no potions. So I create the final gate which was nerve racking, when you think about all the hours I put in gathering those keys.
I do my prep work with my shouts and using my demon limb and go in. I remember where I needed to head to and I did that and stuck my nose into the middle of the town. I pulled Meph by himself, so I felt I was off to a good start. My resists were still all near max so I was holding up very well damage wise. I needed to use a few rejuvs until my LW went off and I had Life Tap going. I had Meph down to a few slivers of life, man I felt like I could really do this my first time.. Then.......
"Connection Interupted"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got booted from the game...UGGGHHHH!!!
Ok, don't panic try to reconnect. Yes, luck was on my side the game was still up and my portals were still there. Bad news, Meph was sitting on the portal. I died quickly the first couple times, but I manage to get him away from the portal and sadly he was healed up. I regroup, reloaded and went after him again. Again I had him down to a sliver of life, but finally he fell to the might blade and then I quickly dispatched his pathetic minions..
Next came Diablo himself, he posed to be nothing more than a simple speed bump then came Baal. I figured the worse was over, as I did not need to worry about pulling a second boss, so I charge in. My axes were blazing with great speed and then my frenzy stopped. Damn, he was spawning ghosts who were keeping me fairly mana dry!!! What do I do?!?!?!!? Ahhhhh, that forgotten skill "Howl", I quickly threw down a rejuv and found the long lost hot key for Howl. I let go a great Howl and the ghosts scattered. Baal quickly fell, I had defeated the Uber bosses!!!
And my reward...a 15/10 zon torch... oh well, the reward was not my goal.

There seem to have been a lot of connection interrupts going round lately...
