No fair. It's 10am, Saturday here and I haven't even been able to load Diablo 2. Tourney started around 3am here and with work today I won't get to play for a little while yet. I was kinda lucky. I found 3 chiped gems before any magical weapon dropped so I just bought a magical spear from charsi. I had quite good anti-andariel equipment - 65% resistance and -100% poison length reduction. I could stand near to her and just admire those beautiful novas ;) .So far it goes ok... I hope I will make it to nightmare. The only thing that worries me are resists... I started stocking up on resistance and elemental damage charms( I'm going all passives + fend, so I need something for PIs)...I hope that lot's of charms will be enough...

*edit* Hey Mordalles. I removed Your fallen hero and added a new one . Good Luck and watch out for crossbows. They are agrresive too ;).

dude, don't take my DooL post too seriously. Mine was a super-freak occurance (i.e. multiple Zod-find probability) but you're gonna like Portland a lot - assuming that you're still going there.

Got through act 1 with only one close call, we will see how far my first hardcore character makes it. Past act 1 apperantly :D

Playing a sacrifice pally is NOT easy! I think I drank more red potions in act 1 than all of my previous characters combined. Several bosses (well, pretty much every ranged boss) gave me a lot of trouble, and i've had at least a half-dozen empty-belt panics. It's kinda worth it though, because no regular monster survives two whacks of my fine broad sword of slaying. Although two-handed was fun for a while, I gave it up in favor of much-needed survivability. I'm still catching up on my dex and looking for a pally shield to replace my bone shield of health.

I've decided to go with a TS/DT assassin, which has proved to be an excellent choice. She is loads of fun, and does nearly 1k damage now using this for charge ups and some greaves for kicking.

Ogg is sitting in the Rogue Encampment, wondering how he managed to finish the Den of Evil without finding a magical weapon. A ring, two pairs of boots, an amulet, leather armor, and a rare katar, but no magical weapon :p


EDIT: Now I find myself wondering if the Rogue Encampment WP counts for a point. I assume so, since we started at zero points instead of -1. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, town waypoints count as a point.

Skoolbus, I went ahead and changed your score for you. Your level says 25 but you took 26 points off instead of 25.

I just beat Duriel too, but I switched to /players 1, didn't want to chance dying since my attack speed is slow and with his aura it'd be terrible, he'd hit me 2 or 3 times per charged strike I got off.
 
so far the hardest part has been to de-equip non magic items when I accidentally pick them up in the middle of a pack.

Lvl 6, 1 Quest, 1 WP (town, lol) = -3 points (i think).

I gotta say that with Oak Sage & + Life gear I like this char: only 5 points invested in Vit & I've got 126 life fully charged. I shouldn't die for now unless I forget to attack for 20 seconds standing in a pack.
 
I renamed my character AzurezSky (rather than AzureMoon). My Barb has reached the inner cloister at clvl=18.

With 5 quests completed and eights waypoints reached my net score is....... uh.... 0.

Therefore, I have no update to the table!?!

Prayer is a horrible aura to start with, but once you get cleansing... free minor healing stream + curse resistance. Meditation will be continuous rejuvie potions. :D

I also had to use smite multiple times to corner dangerous individuals (extra strong, cold enchanted, etc.) for private disciplinary seesions. ;) Even at a mere 3-9 damage from a magical targe, I took out Treehead Woodfist with smite and a few swings of my scepter.

So far so good. Getting swarmed wasn't particularly fun, however. With cleansing healing at 10 per 2 seconds, the only thing I have to fear in act 1 is Pitspawn Fouldog, who I will meet soon. I now take it as a personal challenge to best the damn tainted with every HC character. For those who don't know, he's a lightning spitter that is cold enchanted and cursed. It will take a lot of manuevering to dodge those balls and charge him to death, especially since i got my rogue mercenary killed by Raikanishu (or however you spell that little bastige's name).
 
Yeah BracK got to level 19 and is in act 2, this build is oh so boring.. :( So i will probably be playing him slow...

But here we go

My level is 26 right now, I'll play some more tonight, so I'll learn how to add and subtract before then. If I'm lucky I might get to division soon. :p
 
I am off and running now. After an uneventful day at work, I have been hanging out for this. Currently just finished the Blood Moor!! :clap: My werebear is fun, though he attacks pretty slowly atm. Nearly 200 life and 4-33 damage already. Cool. Found a nice 1-5 Lightning damage charm and a blue bow in preparation for my Merc. Had to unequip the white stuff you pick up and gets auto equipped. Had five or so packs of fallen spawn near the entry stairs to the den of evil which was fun!!

Well my pally has just completed the cube quest. At level 22 at the moment. Hes done for the night, and Il update again tomorrow after i get to act 3.
 
Blue_Velvet has proven to be a fun char to play and a good killer too, even w/o uber equipment:
Level 8 (went players 1 until i got confident, then players 4, so less leveling up): -8
Reached Stony Field WP: +3
Completed Burial Gorunds Quest: +4
Total score: -1

Not too bad for my first HC character. The only true near-death situation happened while fighting ColdCrow in The Cave (yes, I like to clear all areas, even optional ones): she and her ******* pack of minions almost managed to kill me. I survived only thaks to BoS and my merc: too bad I'll have to let her go soon :(

What's the minimum clevel to find mana/life leech weapons? Until now, only ED% or similar for my katars

So far so good for my 1st HC character too. Just about to tackle Andariel. The biggest problems I have faced is the attack speed of the werebear and any bosses that spawn cold enchanted. Slows my attacks to around 1 attack per 3 seconds. I am also thinking AR is starting to prove a problem already.

Is it possible for Cannot be Frozen to spawn on a magical item? Here's wishing!!

Edit: Andariel is dead!!!! Long suffer the queen of the poison. On and on we go. Honestly didn't know how far I would get. This is a bonus, or a tribute to the mightiness of the Druid!! Rrrrooooooaaarrr!!
