i cant this thing working

i want to make perfect MF sorc with blizzard...what do i need to do first?
all my mf sorcs sucks like crap...****ty drops all the time
please help me

It will help if you list your skill/stat allocation, gears, and the areas you normally run. As for the drop quality, it could just be your expection being too high. MF only gives you more unique/set items, it has no effect on what unique/set items you will get.

stats: stength-145 dex:none val:195 enegry:130 (without items)

gears:shako(pgem),occy,tal armor(pgem). chance glove or magefrist, goldwarp or snowclash, and war travr

charms: gheed and smf charms ranging 4-6

i mf alot in hell (andy or meph)

If I were you I'd get strength to 156 so you can use a Spirit monarch shield, it'll really help a lot. As for mf'ing: You just need to use a lot of patience, If you have a decent amount of mf good stuff will eventually drop so keep it up and it will happen. GL rop:

Are you saying you only have two points in Cold Mastery? You need 17 at least to overcome any cold resistance. It will make a big difference on killing speed.

You didnt mention your amulet, rings, if I was you since you are using Tal s armor already I d switch the goldwrap for tal s belt, and I d use Tal s amy too. That will grant you the 3 tal pieces bonus of +65% MF along with some other good bonuses like fcr, etc.
You didnt put any point on dex which is good if you dont want max block but I think your Energy is too high, you can invest a lot less and let items do the rest and still be able to tele and cast your spells without running out of mana. Those points should have gone to life. Now the decision would be to use Spirit monarch or not, if you want to use that shield you need 156 str after items, war travs grant str and maybe you have str from other pieces of your equip so only invest enough points in str and let your equip provide the rest. If you dont want to use monarch and prefer some MF shield like rhyme or Splendor then make those in some light shield and put points into str just enough to use the rest of your equip. Again all those extra points should go to life.

As mentioned already there s nothing you can do to get better drops, MF will help you to get more blue/rare/unique items but it wont affect the type of them. With any MF setup your resistances will probably be low so stack up some resist charms and if you can find/trade get some MF/resistance Scs to keep in your inventory. You should also try to get rare rings with FCR, resistances and some MF.

I like to have at least 200+ mf with 300 - 350+ being optimal (for me). The speed at which you kill him has no bearing on drops. What you want is a good amount of mf without sacrificing killing speed, you don't want to be dying a lot as it's counterproductive to your mfing.

This is correct. Drop quality (i.e. chance of being unique/set, not the base item) is determined by the MF when the drops are selected, so switching to higher MF right-before the last killing blow is recommended.

But doing anything more than pressing W is not recommended. If you have to TP to town, switch all your gear, you are slowing yourself down, which is counter productive.

Can I suggest you have a read of this, specifically the bit about diminishing returns.

My first Blizzballer had an upd topazed Vipermagi, Upd vicy with ist, wizzy, shako with ptopaz, mf/resists boots, gheeds, couple of nagels and usually magefists not chancies and that was a good trade off between killing speed and MF. My Fishymancer ran with 500MF and frankly, I have dropped him to 300 to get some more +skills to speed up a bit. In two days, I found a perfect poison die facet, perfect BKWB and a Griffons using ... zero MF. Don't underestimate speed.
