HOZ Question...

K, so I traded for a Hoz, it's 498 def. I was going to up it, but it says it's already a zakarum shield, not a gilded shield.... so what's goin on? If it had been upped already it would have had the def bonus right? I don't want to waste the runes upping it if it won't work. Can anyone clue me in on this?

That HoZ has already been upgraded. The defense of an upgraded HoZ actually isn't that much greater than that of a normal one.

Huh, yeah - I just checked the base def values and they aren't far off.

It's only useful for smite damage.
