How to Respawn Maps in Single Player?

Hi,

Been playing Diablo 2 on and off for years - always on BNET. Finally decided to try Single Player because of TPPK and lack of Hell games in BNET.

I've decided for now at least to try pure SP - no mods/hacks whatsoever. Although I might consider a hack/mod which removes darkness as I find the low light radius a real pain (personal opinion).

Anyway to get to my main point - I have read a few guides on MF and have seen it mentioned that one can respawn maps to get an easier map for MF - how do I do this and what are peoples opinions of this in terms of pure SP play?

Also interested in a mod which only does full light radius - nothing else - anything out there?

By going to another difficulty the next time you return to the previous difficulty the map will be reset.
For example if you want your normal map rerolled, go to nm and hell and then back and you will have a new one.

Welcome to the forum... please read the stickies and make an intro thread if you're planning on staying a while.

Most of us switch difficulties as the mood suits us and the map re-making is a simple byproduct. No harm no foul.

Finding the perfect map seed and setting your map to that seed to exploit a shorter run or what not is considered cheesy but not considered a cheat. Posting or trading map seeds is a bannable offence, so don't even ask for someone else's maps. That's where they've drawn the line, and we are playing by that rule.

Stay in the Light dude (literally)!
Only mods accepted here are Red Rune Mod(RRM, makes runes red) and Rune Word Mod (RWM-enables 23 Ladder RWs). Other mods are prohibited, yes even those that only increase light radius.
Unless of course you do not plan to MP,trade,giveaway. In which the rule of No Business applies; "What you do on your computer, is your own business"

Also, it's worth mentioning that if you have a character who hasn't completed normal difficulty yet (and thus cannot start a NM or Hell game to reset the normal map), you can reset the map by hosting a multiplayer game, and then quitting immediately.
