How to play d2 without a disc..?

I have diablo2 expansion installed onto my computer but i have no cd to play it with and now my friend is over and he brung his disc but when he leaves i would still wish to play. In another thread i read you could mount the image of the d2 disc with Daemons Tools so i downloaded that software and im technologically impaired at the moment on how to do this i could use some help

The only way you could play diablo 2, in your situation is to actualy buy the game. Other then that the methods of which you speak can not be discussed on this forum.

So spare your self the ban, or being the person resualting in another person's ban.

I agree, I don't know how you have 425 posts and you have the audacity to ask such a stupid question. Go find a non-legit forum to post that crap on, before you ban your friends acct.

=off topic=

Audacity, Mister Big Words, no offense it's just been a while sence I've seen somebody on a message board use a "non-simple-tin" word if you know what i mean

= on topic =

Maybe he has Got Diablo 2 but not the expansion pack. But regardless
Im pretty sure that he knows the rule of the forums(based on his post count)

If what your asking has to do with playing D2, while the D2x Install is on your computer
then just uninstall D2x untell you buy the expansion pack legitly

Interesting comment, from a returned bannee at that.

Check your PM's.

rules and regulations

Why comment at all if what you really want to do is play?
Sure you could argue that having no money impaires you from living,
yet somehow i think that placing a value on opinion gets more backfire then good results.

ps. what this has to do with this thread i have yet to understand.

Why annoy me furhter, do you want a ban?

I have absolutely no idea how the few people here might have gone to the offensive mode so quickly.

There are various reasons why one wouldn't want to play with his disc in drive, other than being poor and not being able to buy a LOD original or wanting to cheat.

I personally don't play with the cd. Why? Becase when I first bought D2 LOD, my cd-rom broke the disk and I had to buy another one. The other reason is that I hate the long time it takes my cd-rom to 'warm up' when it stops for a longer while. Finally - I just can't stand its noise at night.

I agree that methods to resolve this are not to be discussed on the forum, yet I don't understand all this flaming. I mean, come on people, he has his cd key to play online. What else could one want :)

Happy battle.net to Jules

Something seems to be wrong with this thread, but I haven't figured it out yet.

1. Why has it been resurrected after more than a month ?

2. Why is aragorn_elessar so angry about that posting ?

English is not my native language which might be one of the reasons for me not understanding the problem.

I have the original CDs, of course, but (a) my CD-ROM drive is rather loud, (b) it's slow and (c) I'm too lazy to search for and replace CDs all the time, so I prefer to use CD images whenever possible.

OK, then let it get old again

And let's not forget that CDs do not last forever, especially if you have to swap them all the time --- every game comes with its own stupid CD dongle. The consequence for me is simple: install game, install newest patch, install crack, put CD back in box and leave it there.

Those CD dongles are pretty weird: their only purpose is to annoy legitimate buyers. And I don't want to be punished for buying a game.

You don't actually have to use an image for D2; I only use images for games that come with redbook audio tracks (currently there is only of these on my box, "ReVolt").
