So, having remade my strafer (lvl81), she's now mowing through the pits with relative ease. She's done all the quests in hell except baal and the ancients, because (A) she's built to run the pits and jungles (skiller hunting), and does so without any difficulty. (B) I'm too scared to lose all her gear on a solo ancients (C) after beating said ancients, the thought of gloams is just too icky for someone who thinks shields are far too ugly to use, or (D) all of the above.

So, the question is, how far (lvl) have any of you gotten without doing the 3 babas? Say, just running the pits, the CS, and ancient tunnels? 90? more?

i used to have a lvl 92 zon that only did pits and eldritch and stuff :thumbsup:. i had a hammerdin friend that was like lvl 94 or so just from pits and cs but he played alot more than me.

I got a Blizz sorc to 92 only doing Andariel then 96 doing Pindle. Its actually easy to level without doing Baals / Ancients. Pits / CS / PSE all provide great xp for quite awhile especially if you do them in multiplayer games

highest i made it to without ancients was 94 last ladder doin pits and eld/shenk

If you are on east just leave word here and I can get my skellymancer and he can easily help w/ the ancients. About 11 skeletons, 5 mages and 10 of the proper revives and you can just stand back and fire from a distance. If we can get a BO barb or Oak Sage druid we might not even lose a skeleton.

Oh, thanks for the offer Wolfdude. Unfortunately, I'm on West, and not even ladder for this character (I had what I needed on old season1 mules).

I don't mind not running Baal with her anyway, her resists are less than optimal. Besides, when she's done with a game I can always come in with the big mamma sorc and do baal for the good drop. I was just curious how easy (or not) it might take to lvl the strafer without baal etc, because the pits theoretically have the same lvl monsters as the WS, no?
