How do I send a Mule?

I have created a new character and put in the items I want to send. I have saved the file into a known location. I have read the ATMA site and the "muling in SPF" thread, but I still don't know for sure how to send these items. Do I just send an email and attatch the file? Or do I cut and paste the file onto an email? Or is there some other way? If I just send an attatchment, what will prevent these items from being duplicated? Thanks in advance, you guys are the best!!! Nationwide

Attach the file... easy as cutting a pie :)
You can make a stash instead if you want, but it doesn't matter.

All you do after you create a mule and saved it to a known place, is send an e-mail and send the mule as an attachment. That is pretty much it.

When the other person gets the mule they will indicate that it has been received. Then you can delete the mule you created so you don't end up with duplicates.

Yup, you're right. Just send an email with the file as an attachment. The recipient then saves it into their ATMA (if they have it) or DII folder.

The only way to prevent duplicates is for the recipient to acknowledge receipt and for you then to delete the file.

EDIT: Beaten to it by TWO forumites. I must be a noob!!

Thanks everyone.

I didn't think it was rocket science, but just wanted to be sure. I sure didn't want to send a mule into oblivion.

I would keep it as a character file since some players don't have ATMA and they can use TCP-IP in order to do muling. They only need to insert the char file in their save folder and then use a multiplayer game to mule the item where they want it. always thinking about those Mac users.

otherwise follow the others instructions.
