Hello, im making an off-meta build from post from 2007. Its a Obedience based Holy Fire Zeal paladin.

Skills: HF +2 synergies maxed, max Zeal and Sacrifice

Items:
Head: GFace (Um)
Body: Treachery
Hands: Laying of Hands
Belt: SoE
Feet: Gore Rider
Amulet: Highlord's Wrath
Ring: Raven Frost
Ring: Leech + res
Weapon: Obedience

Is there a benefit in this build to put more Str and Dex than most demanding item?
What skillers to use?

For polearms and spears (Obedience bases) 1 point in str gives 1 ED. However without a shield you will want all life you can get your hands on.

Extra dex gives an unremarkable amout of extra AR.

As you want as much points in vita as possible it is good to look at requirements of base weapons. You also want preferrably a fast weapon with good range. (Thresher is fast but has bad range). I would probably go for Mancatcher. Fastest of the bunch but does need 132 str and dex.

I have made a Fanatic Obedience Zealot. Reached 6 frame Zeal with Great poleaxe and that was ok. But YMMV.

You will get to 5 frame zeal with Mancatcher with your set up unless I am mistaken. Do check some ias calculator.

A offensive aura skiller will give 100+ fire damage, but do consider small charms with life instead. Good luck! :)

Ps. Oedience does not work in spears in LOD.
