Help my new Paladin

Hi Guys!

I've been playing smiter/foh back in 1.09 and i havent really played alot since year 2003 or so.

So i want to make a new paladin now and i really like to use FoH primarily.
Now, since alot of people use resists etc to negate the FoH, i need a compliment to my FoH. So i have been thinking about either T/V (Templar primarily/Vindicator secondary) or a Mage (FoH primarily/Hammer Secondary).

Now i need you guys' help to make me decide on what to make.
It would be nice if you could put out complete builds on these 2 different kinda chars, with gears, stats, skillpoints. I have been searching the forums and theres alot of different discussions and such, what i need is concrete facts and builds on T/V and Mage with FoH primarily.

why do u want to build a mage paladin?? or is it a joke??? FoH is worst skill of paladin! if u want to use lightning as primary skill why don't u build a sorc or zon?? blessed hammer is also a silly skill even its xk damage! paladin must fight till death in all situations..he is a swordman and he must use his swordcraft, not his silly and effectless magics!

SORRY...but he is a paladin, he is not a wizard..so don't expect more than this!

You flame, yet you know nothing about a Mage, or any of the Paladin skills by the sounds of things.

Read some of the stickies, play the game a bit, you'll start to learn things.

its not diablo 1.
also, im pretty sure my 3.3klife/10k hdin can take any sword-bearing paladin.

wow, is this guy retarded? this wasnt even the question the guy was asking, he was asking for a link... if you dont have one then gtfo. as to the OP- paladins do not need "swordcraft" besides, a zealer usually uses a zerker-type weapon anyways... lol. id build the foh/hammer out of the 2. these can be deadly, i fought a good one not too long ago, ez'd my pure hammerdin.

HIMM..sorry there is no wizard in this game..FoH caster Holy Magician was more true!

a zealer can use almost all weapon types, i just tried, my paladin can zeal with a staff!! what a happiness!

I'll try and answer your question, even though I'm still getting used to using pallies.

Thanks to the fact that it's 1.11, you now have facets to help you nagate res. Facets, combined with Conviction, can be absolutly deadly. If you're going pvp I'd say stick to a pure FoHer. A friend's FoH pally can take out my 200fcr sorc in one hit once Conviction takes hold. Granted I still have a lot of work to do on her, but I've got close to 2k life as is.

If you're going pvm then it's really up to you if you want to mix the skills up a bit or not. I really don't know how well a pure FoH pally does, or what you intend to use him for (rushing, mfing, just playing), but it doesn't hurt to have a secondary skill. If you have the skill points to sink into synergies then Blessed Hammer is the way to go. It is out-in-out the most powerful Pally skill in this version of the game for pvm.

That's about the exstent of what I know to say, though. If you're looking for more in depths possiblities for equips and such, I'd check out this thread. It has a number of different pally guides to leaf through to get some ideas from.
