Help my damage.

I have a lvl 82 bowazon. I just started playing again an have no useful gear, but did however get to make a Harmony in a crusader bow i found. It's a rather poor harmony, 202 ed, and only 2 valk. About the lowest you can get. I still cannot run the pits as the outer cloister wp whoops me and it takes forever to kill any enemy in hell even in a solo game. I really have nothing to trade for anything, how am i supposed to go about bettering my char at least damage-wise so i can kill stuff.

Hey buddy, let me know if you're on East or not. If you are, I have a windforce hanging out on a mule begging for someone to use it. You're welcome to it if you like. I'm sure that'd help your damage quite a bit.

Also, razortail belt and war trav boots add a lot of damage for a bowazon. Seriously, a whole lot. +max dmg charms seem to do them a whole world of good as well. Travs cost a bit, but I'm fairly sure you could get a razortail out of trading without much trouble.

Just looked at the stats for WF, actually used to have one when I played years ago, traded an ist for it lol. How is anything supposed to compare damagewise to that thing, or even the eaglehorn seems to do a ton. Harmony adds a ton of elemental damage and I'm still not doin anything.

+2 Valkyrie is not so bad, as +3 is max for amas in that bow. One lvl more for valkyrie don't make any difference at field. Those 4...6 valkyrie are only for other classes. So your bow is good enough. Nothing wrong with that.

LoH, ravens, good charms, good helmet, War Travs, Razortail etc... almost all best ama items drop in nmare too.

You have lvl17... valkyrie, you use decoy to help merc when he is trouble in pits, you shouldn't have any problems with that bow in pits, I mean killing speed should be ok, you should have little survive problems as those fellow archers do they best :whistling: too.

Try faith or brand. there both runewords and are the only bows that are capable of challenging windforce. And perhaps wrath although opinions differ quite a bit in the range of high end bows.

P.S. Whats you other gear, your skills and your start? A 202 ed harmony should still be able to run pits. Not as fast as a full armoured hammerdin. So I'm starting to think something else might be the problem.

My harmony bowazon has just 250 ed and is capable of running there without any problems. So a 202 should atleast be able to do it.

How much AR do you have? How much damage shows on the LCS for your main skill? (I'd assume strafe/multi ...)

Just as nase said, a crusader harmony should be more then capable to kill things, but if your chance to hit is low that could be a major factor.

My guided arrow damage is 414-1429. Multi is doing 270-916 with 2257 AR, which doesn't seem that good, my chance to hit isn't great.

Your damage is indeed in the lower reaches but that AR poses a big problem in itself. I'd recommend spending as many points as you can in dex, max penetrate and get some max/ar charms if you can. Also try to get hold of a pair of lava gout gloves, their enchant will help your AR further.

Once you can hit your opponents decently I'm sure you'll find yourself doing a lot more damage. If you can increase your dex that would also increase damage a bit.

What's your current stats?

It sounds like you might not have a source of KB either....if you're not a strafer its not as important, but if you're getting killed a lot, KB with guided can help you keep monsters away from you and attacking your meatshield.

Yeah Kijya covered most of it (Dex, +AR, penetrate). Probably most important is to see how his stat and skill pt distribution is at the moment. Agree, the WF is gonna help a lot though so hopefully the guy can get the OP a free WF.
