What's the file size of Eliana.d2s?

This is what I do when I rename a char.

S&E in game
Open character in ATMA.
Character stats tab
Edit -> type in new name -> OK.
Save (NOT 'Save As', just 'Save'. Sometimes it defaults to a different save folder, usually My Documents. If you just use 'Save' that won't happen.
Delete old character.
Open ingame.

I've just tested on both Vista and XP and had no problems in either.

It seems like you're opening an old version of the file. Have you made any backups that you could be mistakingly opening in ATMA?

My install path is

C:\Games\Diablo II

So in ATMA I see this.

Yours (if installed to C:\Program Files\Diablo II) should point to C:\Program Files\Diablo II\save\

And no, I will not teach you my elite mspaint skills!

@ Thy and nubikoen: Thanks a lot for your help! But for some strange reason it isn't working...

I did exactly was nubikoen is doing. Instead of 'Save as' I chose 'Save'. For some reason Save as doesn't even work... I'm running Vista, and the file size of Eliana is 2,08 kb, it's the same as Azimuth.d2s.

I made sure that I've done everything correct here, so I'm not sure what could be wrong? Maybe I could be going too far with this, but could I email my character to one of you?

You can mail me the char to nubikoen (at) gmail dot com and I'll rename it for you.

But first, are you running both apps (ATMA and D2) as administrator?
Is your user account an administrator account?
What are your install paths of both D2 and ATMA?

Also, yes, I'm running both as admin, and my account is the only account on my computer, and it's the admin. Both the install paths are under C:/Program Files.

I think this should qualify as a bug for Gomule. I hit the delete dupes button just to be sure, and was surprised to see the stash number go down by a large amount. Afraid that I somehow screwed up and had dupes in my stashes, I proceeded to use the delete dupes button on all of them.

Well, apparently it turns out that the delete dupes button doesn't differentiate between having the same FP and having no FP.

The result? My perfect gems, full rejuvs, and all my runes deleted.

Not really sure what to do. I don't know if GoMule creates backups like ATMA does.

I guess instead of just whining I should ask, does GoMule infact create backups of the stashes? And if so, where would they be? I briefly looked through the GoMule folder and didn't see any, but I'm hoping I just missed them.

Help!

I wanted to try using GoMule, so I opened it up and messed around (without creating manual backups =( ).

I hit Delete Dupes, I don't think anything happened. I messed around with the drop calculator a bit, I loaded every character I have, every Atma stash, and as I was about finished, hit "save all".

All of my characters' items, all of my stashes' items, are gone.

How do I restore the backups that GoMule created? Or my Atma backups, for that matter?


EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out =D Praise whatever god you pray to.

Interesting, 2 delete dupes problems on the same day. Yep, that functionality just looks for fingerprints, it was designed to delete duplicate items, gems are runes weren't considered. GoMule should create backups of your stashes in the directory that your stashes are located in, look in the GoMule.backup folder and then for .org files.

I've looked at the code and made a few changes to my GoMule so it skips gems and runes and such; PMing the differences in case you are interested.

Hey, two quick questions concerning 1.07:

Does GoMule work with .07?

And.. My ATMA puts my char in A1 everytime I mule something off him, is this standard for .07 or is my ATMA acting up?

Bank of ATMA?

I was checking out the Bank of ATMA feature in ATMA. I had always assumed this provided a way to stash gold. Now, usually I just gamble ammies when my stash won't hold any more gold, but I've gotten bored of gambling. So I thought I would use the bank feature in ATMA to stash my gold. However, it seems like the only thing the Bank of ATMA does is allow you to transfer gold back and forth from your character's person to your in-game stash. Am I missing something? If that's all it does, I don't see the point. Is there a way to stash gold in ATMA?

If you have a character loaded in atma, and you open the bank of atma, it should open with a small screen with three textboxes in it. One your inventory, one your stash, and one the bank. On top, there are four options, and you can select one of them. When you wish to transfer money to the bank, simply select the option: transfer from X, X being stash or inventory, and then type the desired amount.
Finish transaction seals the deal.

Keep playing with it - you can use it to hold gold. I have several tens of millions in there right now. I don't have it installed on this pc, so I can't walk you through it, but its pretty intuitive.

Oh yeah, the moderators prefer that ATMA questions be posed in the stickied ATMA technical help thread at the top of the page, so the list of threads stays relatively uncluttered.

I know this is old and probably not a problem anymore, but if anyone's experiencing the same issues, try taking the "old" character into a game. I know when you switch around equipment on ATMA it doesn't reflect on the character-select screen until you actually start a game with that character (my MFing and questing gear look *very* different, so it was obvious).

So, even though the character with the old name is still shown on the select screen, it should have the new name once you take it into a game (and thereafter).

It's possible that there will be an increased stash in 1.13 (12x8 wow). I guess Hakai is no longer active and we will all have to start to use gomule in that case. Is gomule compatible with Atma files (stashes)? What about bank of Atma? What about older character versions (pre 1.10)?

No pre 1.10 support (sorry).

GoMule is 100% compatible with ATMA stashes.

GoMule has a bank like ATMA. You can transfer money from ATMA to GoMule using characters. Or alternatively manually edit your account.

Must...hurry up....and....release....new....version...of....goMule....before...1.13....
