@the world ends - The Mac RWM/RRM is in two parts and you need both. That is as much info as I can give you because I don't use a Mac. I'm pretty sure there's some documentation linked to in the first post.

ATMA and GoMule both have user guides linked to in the first post. May I suggest downloading them, then asking specific questions once you have read them.

Thanks, the runeword thing is working. I made an edge bow. Then I finally found a Sol, and went to make an Insight and put in Ral-Tal-Tir-Sol instead of Ral-Tir-Tal-Sol... ughhhhhh

Just another helpful hint, put the backup in a different place. Keeping it in the same place as your computer only protects your data from some possibilities, not all.

nevermind, im going just run good ol' d2 with no mods (except gomule :D :D :D)

I'm using GoMule and one of my characters says Disconnected. Have tried reloading it, moving the file around, etc., but no luck. Any ideas?

Your ears are causing problems. I'm investigating why, but removing them from your character will solve the problem in the short term.

I investigated further, it turned out that Talic was causing the problem. It was the same as the problem with the item personalisation from a while back, GoMule wasn't taking the string termination character into account. For byte level reasons, this was only causing problems when the character name was a certain length (and Talic fit perfectly!).

So thanks for the bug, it's fixed in the mainstream Donkey :thumbup:



 
RWM/RRM Question

I searched and can't find this answer. :(

I play SP as well as Ladder.

Can I use RWM/RRM and two different shortcuts (one edited for the mods for SP) and one unedited for ladder?

Doing this, I assume, would keep the mods from running/being detected on ladder..

Is this a true/fair asumption?


Also, the guide RWM/RRM writting by Thyiad explains to put the RWM inside the RRM folder like the screen shot supplied (in the guide), but the screen shot does not have RWM "inside" RRM it has it in the DiabloII directory on the same level as RRM.
Am I confused or did I read it wrong?

First, yes, using two shortcuts will allow for RRM/RWM in SP and bnet friendly settings for ladder, no problem.

As for the folders, I believe the Global folder from RWM/data needs to go inside the RRM/data folder, same place as the local folder there.

I've never looked at Thy's guide but this screenshot shows a correct setup (look at the file tree on the left).

thanks for the info on the short cuts...

so i need to put the gloves folder from RWM inside the data folder for RRM? which means all the files from RWM\data\global, will be copied into RRM\data\global?

I think this is already done in his .7s download (where it's working jsut need to edit the short cut), as the Runewords folder is empty.

I'll test it! :) (I assume I can test by dropping a already found rune on the ground, hold alt, and see if it is red?)

Hi people, I need help regarding the usage of ATMA.

I've successfully installed the program but I fail to use it. Everytime I try to load a character's file, the program will shut down itself. The same happens when I try to detect dupes.

Please help me overcome this problem, thanks.

EDIT : Problem solved, but another problem arises.

I found out that after I loaded the files, the items are not up-to-date. In other words, the items shown in ATMA are what I had like.. 2 days ago. Can anybody provide me a solution so that I can transfer up-to-date items?

I've got a quick Q about renaming characters in ATMA. So essentially you create a duplicate char, just with a different name, right? When I did this, a d2s file was created in my save folder, but I couldn't find the char in my list ingame. What did I do wrong?

Good thing I backed up my save files before doing this...

@ siantinel - Which version of ATMA and D2 are you using. Are you using anything else?

@ DZJB - I thought you just reamed it. It's been a long time since I had cause to do that though.

Indeed, I just renamed her. I openend the character in ATMA (her name is Azimuth). Then I went to the character stats tab and changed her name to Eliana (because I want to rebuild Azimuth). Then I went to File > Load d2s file and loaded Eliana to see if everything was in order (which it was). But when I started Diablo 2 I only saw Azimuth and no Eliana in the character list, though there is a Eliana.d2s file in the save folder.

sia - don't bump, people will respond if they have an answer. Bumping just gets your posts deleted.

Do you have auto save on? If not do so. I suggest you check the ATMA guide from the first post. GoMule is quite nifty too and has a good set of docs.

DZ - I just tested by
copying atil to the desktop (this was to preserve my own sanity nothing more :p)
opening her in ATMA
hitting Edit
typing another name in there
Save as (the same name I just edited to)
and it opens in D2.

Any step you missed? Windows XP?

(Excuse me I'm deleting bigboobs - the same name as the character I once had to rename oddly enough.)
