Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

A quick GoMule question (please forgive if this was already answered: I'm hungry for a nap).

Does GoMule color all runes red (in the stash readout/character display, not in game), or does it distinguish between RRM and Vanilla?

Thanks.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

Thanks Mursilis! And I pretty much answered my own question: GoMule displays runes in red (red text) in stashes and character displays regardless of whether the character is Vanilla or RRM. I was slightly worried when I was looking over my Vanilla stashes and saw red runes, but I was slightly worried over absolutely nothing.

Let me underline once again, that RRM is just a display mod, it doesn't alter anything apart from the D2 output on your screen.

The runes are red in GoMule just because it differentiates them from the rest of the items.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

Hi, GoMule question again. After messing around with my settings trying to find the .d2s files I also updated my Java, and now when I try and open my chars/stashes through GoMule they are all in red and I get an error msg reading the following:

Error

Do I reinstall Java or GoMule or have I just messed something up?

cheers guys

Edit: the smiley is not supposed to be there...

Edit2: I can still see, open and use the items in D2 and through ATMA V

Interesting.

Rename the "projects" folder in your GoMule folder to "oldProjects" or similar. Then open up GoMule and add your characters again, tell me if it works then.

ATMA question

At the risk of getting a ban, I'm posting here since I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to post a new ATMA-related thread.

Some facts:
(1) D2X v1.12, assassin SP
(2) ATMA 5.05

(1) Stupid question, but: How do you use ATMA?

(2) ATMA V's latest stash version is 1.11. Would it affect my gameplay or stash in any way? Would I even be able to use ATMA at all given the my game version?

Sorry if this is a redundant post but the search results turned up results different from what I wanted.

Thanks. :girly:

EDIT:
(1) I've already downloaded AND installed the app. Thing is, I dunno how to transfer stuff from my character stash to the ATMA stash. I tried local disk/prog files/d2/save but the folder opens bnet files only. What exactly am I doing wrong here?
(2) Obviously, an ATMA stash doesn't appear in town. So how do I transfer stuff in-game?

Lotsa thanks. :girly:

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

1. Well, 1st, install it (duh). Then, create some stash for muling the items you want (they're more efficient than creating mule characters, though you can do that as well with ATMA). I recommend making several stashes based on your item type, for example; uniques, sets, runes, etc. Then, just open your character file (load d2s file) and that stash file (load d2x file) and click and drag the item you want to store from your character to your stash. Similarly, you can click the name on an item from your stash and drag it to your character. I recommed turning on the auto-save function, as well as the backup function just in case.

2. It seems to work just fine with 1.12

EDIT:
(1) Hmm.. if you did the loads d2s file, then it should show you all available characters saved in your computer. A screen shot might be helpful here so we can figure out what's wrong.

(2) Well, we can't transfer stuff in game. You have to exit the game and transfer it off-game, then log back in.

Btw, you might want to post a new reply/Pm if you have more question, just in case no one noticed that you edited your last post.

@Silo

Nope, didn't work. It is sort of the same problem I had earlier, I can not see the files through explorer - only through ATMA and now not even through GoMule. The files are there (as the chars still are and as ATMA can find them) but GoMule & Explorer claims they are not...

Interesting.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

If you mean the download link in this thread then it's not. Works fine for me.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

I have a quick question, does anyone know how to set up a flavie report using GoMule? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Disregard this post....I figured it out.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

Hey, I've been having some problems with ATMA and moving items with it, and I hear this is where all the guru's hang out. I'll try to lay out all the relevant info for you.

1) Played D2 for years (now patched to 1.12)
2) Installed ATMA recently
3) Loaded characters to ATMA
4) Moved lots of sparkly items to a created stash
5) Saved
6) Re-checked to make sure said save files still existed...changes were saved, sparklies in stash and NOT on characters when opened with ATMA
7) When said characters were loaded in D2 to delete them (I decided to start fresh), they still had all their items.

I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong...is there something besides saving the files that I need to do to make it affect my characters? Am I running the wrong version of D2:LOD? Does having installed RWM and RRM matter? (RRM works, and I haven't tested RWM yet)

Thanks for reading, and I hope that someone can help me figure out which step I'm missing.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

You closed D2 before you saved the changed to your characters right? If D2 is running then any changes you make to your characters with a muling application will not stick.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

problem solved. Apparently Vista has this stupid thing where you cannot modify files in the "program files" folder unless you're running the program as an administrator.

Fixed by: checking the box that says "run as an administrator" under the compatibility tab of the shortcut.

Thanks for the help guys, I hope someone else finds this solution later.

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

Ugh , can't get flavie to work at all on GoMule. Downloaded the latest java thingie after my format , so it cant be it. When i click the "flavie" button a new window opens with a bunch of errors. Before I formated everything worked fine now it's just being annoying...

Telling me there's an error message does not help me. Tell me the error message does help me :)

Re: HELP - Mods, Muling, Utilities & Variants (EG RWM/RWM/ATMA etc)

Got my first ATMA corrupt file today. My stash. Fortunately, it was just a gems stash. Unfortunately, all recent backup files got the same error. Which, was pretty weird. Fortunately again, there are still some older backups. Unfortunately again, I still lost about 150 items. *ends ranting mode*

Moral of the day : Always turn on backup on your ATMA. And set the number of backups to 10. It doesn't take that much space, and it will really save you on a rainy day.
