Help me make a CTA, Call to Arms!!!

Hi people, hate to make a new thread for just a simple question but I just can't find the info on this anywhere.. What are the good weapon choices for CTA? I think I have 5 socket crystal, dimensional, and phase but just don't know which one to pick. I think crystal sword is the way to go because we aren't making CTA on a phase blade to hit. I did see people putting it on a phase blade, why is that? Also, is 5 socket flail ok? I am also concerned about its "tradability" in case I get a bad roll. Help!
 
Phase Blade is extremely useful, especially if you intend to put CTA on a melee Enchantress. PMH is a valuable modifier if you have it, those high HP monsters stop regenerating. ^^

Crystal Sword/Flail are for those people who stuff CTA on casters. You're not going to swing the damn thing, who cares about the damage in that case? O=

Dimensional Blade... I guess is for people who can't find the other three. XD
 
Make it in a normal type weapon such as Flail or Crystal Sword if you want max trade value. They have lower str reqs.
 
5 sox axe... lol no man put it in crystal, eth crystal is the best :) flail is OK but everyone loves crystal more :D cus it dosnt req **** str or dex..

Speaking of which, I actually got an Um for an Eth 4 os Crystal Sword a few nights back. Go figure eh? See-through things that have little to no requirements must rock. XD
 
Flails have dex requirements, pallies are just about the only ones who use dex nowadays, the others being bowzons and javazons.
Broad swords have no dex req like crystal swords. The str req is a little higher, but still under 50 so no big deal.
 
Some people put in phaseblade because it will attack super duper fast but don't do that cuz this thingys not meant to be used for attacking. There are other cheaper weapons that can do much better.

They dont look as sexy so that just makes them not wanted.. Sad isnt it?
 
broad swords can only have 4 sock max i think. yea and double axes arent too bad, better if eth. might have less resale though of unless of course it rolls a high bo.

I personally vote for a Crystal Sword too, I think it looks pretty cool. Oh, and ethereal for the style points :D.
 
Definatly Crystal Sword. You don´t want it in a Flail, because casters carrying a HOTO can get confused, which weapon they currently carry. Phaseblade would be for meleer, but there are a lot less than casters. So my top 3 choices would be Eth Crystal Sword, Crystal Sword and Phaseblade, in that order.

Hey thanks everyone. I guess I will just use the crystal sword. I double check the stats and found the broad sword no good (4 socket max). I did hear that runeword makes a viable weapon on a phase blade and I always wanted to try an enchantress. But never got the chance to make one the past few seasons and I just don't see how I have the time to ever make one this season.. I am not that @n@l to insist on an eth crystal sword. :xmas6: With some charms and other equipments the str can go over 43 easily. Anyway, :xmas10: everyone
