Hellforge self-rush in beta

I've never tried a double installation so Hellforge running has only been a side-effect of building chars to me.
So... now that the beta is out and you got cheatcodes... how fast are people self-rushing their chars to hellforge? (I expect nothing beats a sorc there because of teleport of course)
Could be fun to try it.

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

problem is that, without decent gear, you got A LOT of problems in hell. you are nearly always 1hit ko in hell mode naked. so you need time to gamble, or as usual, ask another dude to rush your level 99 char :p

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

True, but with a few nightmare countess runs you already have a spirit sword and shield - that plus some easily gambled jewelry should help a lot right?

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

I did a few self rushes using low end gear(spirit sword, ancients pledge, stealth armor, prismatic amu and circlet). Each rush took ~1 hour. With a orb/tk build survivability is decent(effectively over 1500 life combined with mana)and since act 5 or 4 arent necessary to do, the really tough monsters like souls wont be a problem. My last char did die to Meph though, should have used moat trick!

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

As soon as you have a set of sorc gear you can just mule it to a new char and rush yourself. Takes me less than an hour from start to Hell Hellforge done.

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

Exactly, you don't really need to rush yourself. Once you get a good set of equipment, just create a new character, put in all the skill and stat points (level 99 of course) and go. Depending on your equipment, you could be finished hell in well under an hour (depends on lag). Then you use your forge drops and quest drops to trade for better gear and keep going.

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

Don't really need to self-rush, just go to a public game. That way the roles can get split up and will take much faster (i.e. 1 person can find ammy, other can find staff, ect). It's much faster to work in a group.

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

I forgot - If you get to the point in act 2 where you have just opened Tal Rasha's tomb, do you still see the symbol of the correct tomb if leaving and then creating a new game? Just wondering if it might speed up things to have a char in that state on each difficulty level.

Re: Hellforge self-rush in beta

I like to do act 2/3 with multiple accounts at once and then mule off the extra complete staffs/flails (if you even bother with the flail) to level 20, 40, and 60 mules. Having these ready lets you glitch a whole group normal-hell baal in no time at all.
