Well, @Vildecor got it right, from zero to Guardian for sure.

I started this character on March 3rd after my deeds in the In Training Tournament, so 8 days real time to finish.

The tournament for those that didn't enter or follow, requires all crafted gear save a few options such as using rewards received and the option for any item with a personalization used.

This would be my first amazon to Guardian, and she was quite fast to say the least.

Normal was pretty much equip whatever I plain javelin I could and go to town. Nothing really of note other than a couple early crafts including some blood gloves in Act 2. Imbued the circle my mercenary settled on after I made the Honor (previous was a blood crafted helm)

Nightmare, was the same thing, but this time I imbued my NM on a Ceremonial Javelin (+4MPK about the only mod on it useful) and pretty much lightning fury and Charged Striked my way through it.

Hell I used a respect on when I made the plunge and used the final of my crafts landing the amulet, shield, and gloves. Wish I could have made more but you know pgems... I did have a few rough spots, namely areas full of lightning immunes and I do reroll my first attempt into Frigid Highlands as it was Lightning Immune everywhere.

Saving Anya was beyond tough and I wish I would of had a screenshot of it. Gloams where shooting at me I ditched the Yetis in a corner for a moment, went to town, waypoint to walking back in, cast decoy ran in a circle around to click Anya, managed to teleport out, get potion, go back, repeat the circle until I could click her and portal the crude out of there. She did reward me with a Matriarchal Javelin, but I couldn't equip do to low strength.

The rest of Act 5 was pretty much easy and if there was more than 1 monster lightning immune I rerolled it. The last Javelin rare I found in Ancients way and I upped and personalized it to give me a bit of physical damage for any lightning immunes, but it wasnt necessary and I preferred the +3 one at all other times. The ancients only rolled with the Thrower being LI and I finished off Mr. Polearm first since I split up Mr. Whirlytwirly who had Conviction Aura near the entrance. Both of them were tanked by a Valk as you can guess and fight took about 30minutes overall.

WSK was actually quite pleasant other than last one which had packs of gloams which left and restarted hoping for something a bit smoother and the second attempt was actually easier and Baal fell dropping me nothing of note.

Impressions overall
Even with some rerunning Gems were surely my biggest issue on making lots of crafts and was one reason I never made a 4 socket polearm to have an insight: I lacked a 4 OS one and risking a gem to hopefully get one wasn't worth it. Chug those Blues. I found enough of the required runes just playing the game and actually have a pretty good amount of everything left if I had the gems to craft, but Players 1 in Hell did not reward enough, though I must say I found more than enough Gems shrines just playing (Think 6-7 if I don't count re-ran areas).

One thing I put a lot of points into Evade. I ran around enough I felt it was warranted with max block as well to keep me alive. I like to think it helped.

Future:
Leaves me with 2 classes left to Guardian, a Sorceress and Paladin. Almost want to give this tournament a second go, but my OCD kicks in and I don't do anything else I want to do when sucked down that rabbit hole so I need a couple days err.week or so to decide what I want to do. Maybe do a non-tournament HC character.

Actually looking forward to when D2R is released a few friends want to play, so maybe I'll stop playing solo for a bit.

Wow! Nice Guardian and writeup. I wonder how Hell would have gone if your shield craft was not as strong.
Probably changed a lot. I was debating on making a Smoke for resistances for a long time, just didn't want to use the personalization on it incase something great came along.

I imagine the FBR helped a lot, but I'm not sure how all the breakpoints work between Hit Recovery, Dodge, Avoid, and Blocking and the same for Hit Recovery, Evade, and Blocking while moving. (Like does FHR work with Dodge/Avoid/Evade to lower the animation time?)

For better or worse, D/A/E is locked at 8 frames :p

Nicely done and written! Huge congrats - I am impressed by the your speed! 8 days! 😳

While we have to wait on the remaining two guardians, keeps us updated on Magic Legends and if it is worth investing the time!
