Grief vs BOTD please read

Hi

I have always been a zealot BOTD zerker man and i would tell anyone who would listen just how great it was etc etc.

but i rolled my first PB grief today and it is the money. i ripped through the mini ubers and once i got a life tap on meph that was the end of that run

the roll was rubbish i got 349 on the grief and i have a 391% BOTD but the grief seems to kill faster.

i know that the screen lies and you cannot see the full damage for a grief but is there anyway of working it out. i have about 25 on zealot and fanatism and a 349% grief. is there a guide for this.

secondly is the grief damage added to the smite as when i smited with my BOTD when i met Lillith she could kill me but when i smited with the Grief that never happened.

I think that the ATMA program can do that for you... That should help you figure out you actual damage...

Grief's damage is added to smite... Otherwise it would read: Adds xxx% Enhanced damage, rather than: Adds xxx% damage, or whatever it says...

Grief is always better than ebotd! ALWAYS!

I have not used either of them, I prefer my "Death" Zerker for an all around build.

Damage-wise yes, but botd costs nothing to repair and has good leech and stats. It is a viable option for pvm, just not for uber trist.

Grief also costs nothing to repair, provided it is in a PB.

Agree, great weapon, i always use it against Ubers, baal, mephisto....

But from experience (best way when you see it) and from my earlier calculations (science confirms it) I rate them this way. This goes for zealots.

Stormlash – fastest mass killing melee weapon (larger packs)
Death RW – best weapon for monsters with large HP
Grief – best PvP and single (or few) monster killing weapon with small HP.
Botd- 4th class weapon :}

with Fana 20
you need only 8 IAS to reach 4 fpa with pb , which is given already by Grief (30-40 IAS)

Zerker bp is 54% , Botd gives you 60% IAS
So both should swing the same speed.

However, range of BA is 3 while it is 2 for PB
