Gods of Ancient Greece. Forum mafia game.

Last post of the night:

Laarz asked everybody to sing along early in the game, Leo sang along and then promptly died.
Laarz asked me to sing along.... if I'm dead tomorrow... damn you Laarz!!! LOL!!

OK, tinfoil hat back in the drawer. Goodnight!

Ugh... I just looked at my last post and noticed I said "they went to a different target anyway" when what I was trying to say is "they didn't target him anyway" but it's getting late. ~waves~

I think you need more than a tinfoil hat, maybe some tinfoil underwear:nod:

It,s me who has the extremely reducd functionality when posting with the iPad or phone.

I,m not sure I,ll be able to post later, so I,ll change my vote now. I still think Zokar is scum though.

Unvote: Zokar
Vote: FredofErik

This doesn't sound like a forced vote at all.... *sarcasm*

Do you have any reason to suspect Gory was alligned with CG and cakes?

Since FoE hasn't had a chance to respond to my question on this, I will go ahead and put my thoughts out there.

Yes, I believe JCakes, CG, Gory were on the same scum team.

1. Gory singing CG's praises after he died, full well knowing we would be seeing him again. A big thank you to Pharphis for asking the question in the right way for Gory to accomplish that without much suspicion.

2. Gory being untargetable to Zokar. Why? CG was bodyguarding him that night!

3. Guess I didn't have much more on that. I like to think the other team tried to kill Gory, hit CG, lynched CG, and then killed Gory, but that doesn't really matter, just for fun.

4. Now if we assume Gory was scum, and he was Xena, and we have a singing clown running around doing nothing all game...

5. Lynch Laarz tomorrow. He is the fourth member on their scum team and did not send in a kill last night to get people to assume that they were all dead, as BA has supposedly done. He had been setting up his Joxer claim all game but I don't one bit believe it now, it has been quite the distraction.

5.a. Hercules seems like a natural fit to be opposite of Xena. And there is a decent chance that Hercules is on the opposite team, too!

6. These thoughts all seem more squared away in my head, oh well. Hope this is easy enough to follow.

Caluin Graye has been killed.
Solar Ice has been killed.
Sathoris has been killed.
Leopold Stotch has been killed.

I think Sath and Leo were most likely investigative roles, given their posts yesterday. I also think that CG would be much more likely to be targeted of the remaining two, Solar and CG, because he was being bashed for role fishing. This leaves me thinking Solar was the killer, but that's assuming 1 mafia, 3 townies. 1 Bomb and 2 investigators. Meh.

Okay, explanation time!
I'm Artemis, with 1-shot blood swap
Blood swap:
Pick 2 targets at night. If one of them is killed or investigated, their names will be swapped.

I picked Sath and myself the night Sath died, and when the mass claim started I knew I had to get in there early with my (barely) hidden claim as Artemis. I figured that there was a really good chance that one of the mafia would fake-claim using that name, since they would have (presumably) been given that name after killing Sath, if they killed Sath.

In other words, I really really really think Jcakes is mafia and he took Sath's name at death for his fake claim.

I have already mentioned the direct connection between FoE and Pharphis, so FoE's flip (assuming he can be lynched, if he can't check his vote tomorrow and then string him and Moar up. Me thinks lynch immunity could be the equivalent to the resurrect of the other mafia) can help us here, too.

But please note this chain of events: Yes it did lead to catching the other scum, which is a goal Pharphis would share with the town.

1. Pharphis believes Sath is an investigative role.
2. Pharphis switches his blood with Sath's.
3. If Sath did investigate Pharphis, all that would be returned was Sath's own alignment.
4. Had Sath investigated himself, he would have thought himself as insane.
5. ???
6. Scum Profit.

This is a pretty interesting post and idea. People have some weird role claims this game and it is making me over accusatory, but I work with what I got.

@pyro

Yes, on my big reply to you I switched gears away from you mid stream (I cant stop once I start! It stings!)

The you and kestegs being a scum team was 95% joking 5% nervous shaking and crying

Does bodyguard work that way? I hadn't thought of this, but this would be about as close to proof as we can get to Gory's alignment.
I suspect that's not how it works, though. Wouldn't CG be watched, then?

TC, does bodyguard also stop watching if the person is being guarded for a kill?
Ex/
TC is targeted for kill
Pharphis protects him w/ bodyguard ability that CG had
Kegs is spamming
BA watches Gory
Laarz investigates Gory.
No1 targets CG directly.

Does BA get a result of Laarz visiting Gory?
No result?

Oh, and can you quote my post asking Gory whatever I asked him?
I'm unsure what you're talking about but really don't want to trackpad my way there on my phone.

I've said earlier that I think Gory is town but I haven't thought much about it. I think I took his admission of killing Solar as a townie thing to do, and his switch of votes from Zokar (this is ofc if Zokar is town). Having said that, I need a little bit more of a complete picture of the argument against him. Can someone quote the line from CG and Gory's following "singing" :p

Sorry for not being around, handed in my last exam of the semester yesterday and have been busy being drunk and stuff since.

thefranklin: no, I didn't have a reason to think CG and Gory was a team.

Your reasons for thinking so are weak imo. Gory could've easily just thought of CG as town - after all, they did agree on a lot D1.
Also, I don't think that is how a bodyguard works. And it assumes that Zokar is telling the truth, which I don't think.

As for my lock: I won't die. Hopefully this will make some of you more convinced that I'm telling the truth and we will be able to move on to better lynch targets (but it doesn't look that way).

I'm sorry about the "watcher post". It was a rushed and incorrect chain of thoughts. Whether you believe me, is up to you. It still doesn't change my views on Zokar.

I'm still not convinced whether we are looking at several mafia groups, a single multi-kill fraction, SKs or whatever, and I don't like people talking about a second group as were it a fact that such a group existed. Makes it far too easy for potential SKs to avoid attention.

Please be advised that I am not confirming nor denying the above roles and/or abilities.
From what I gather, you are asking two questions.
1. A bodyguard only prevents one from dying.
2. In your example, BA would receive the result that Laarz visited Gory.

Keep in mind that all of these are generalities and should not be used to confirm or deny one's abilities / role.

"So basically, we don't know what's happening, why it's happening, who is behind it, or what we can do to stop it?"

"Pretty much covers it, I'd say."

"Great gods, we are."

"Reminds me of the clairvoyants meeting cancelled due to 'Unforseen circumstances'."

"To be fair, we DID have a hand in that."

"Good point, but we can't deny that we're like those little things that run round in wheels, peddling like crazy but never getting anywhere."

"Ducks?"

"Could be, I'm a bit vague on mammals."

"Can't we just try and kill one random person in the hope it gives us information."

"Bit ... sloppy, isn't it."

"We haven't exactly been on top form and frankly, it can't make it any worse."

"Fine. We kill you."

"WHAT?! No! Not me! What did I do? What proof do you have?"

"None, but it was your idea so ... we have to pick someone one."

"On three .. 1, 2"

"Do you mean 1, 2, go on three or 1, 2, 3 go"

"... 3."

The counter looks around and particularly at the person he was trying to remove. The lack of combined power meant, he was looking at a very much alive and upset potential victim.

"You're right. There are so many more better potential sacrifices.", he looks at those who are unable to count up to three.

By Thyiad.

No one has been lynched.

It is now NIGHTTIME. You may not post for the next 24 hours. All night actions are to be sent to me as soon as possible.

"Excellent! This couldn't have gone better if I'd tried."

The speaker was partially hidden in shadows but the intent was clear. Destruction of the gods. Chaos and confusion.

And so far, their plan seems to be working.

"Well, let's make this a little more interesting."

He rattled some die in his hands.

"I think we shall remove ..."

He rolls the die.

"Three! You, you and YOU!"

He chuckles.

"Ah, this should be fun."

The gods look around them.

Three of their number are ... petunias.

"Ok, which gluteus-clown is responsible for this?!"

By Thyiad.

Bad Ash is dead.
phaprhis is dead.
thefranklin is dead.

It is now DAYTIME. You may post freely for the next 47.5 hours.

Alive players:
1. kestegs
2. Pyrotechnician
3. FredOfErik
4. korialstraz
5. Zokar
6. Moar
7. Laarz

With 7 players alive, it takes 4 votes to lynch someone and 5 to lock them.

Apologies for starting this a tad later, I lost track of time while playing D3.

This is what I was afraid of before we killed Jcakes. That it wouldn't decrease the amount of deaths the following night. I fealt we were in a good spot having lynched 2 scum, including the resurector, but now? We're not that many people left alive. I'm hoping we only get the 2 extra night kills every other night, gives us more time to work with.

Bad Ash is dead.
phaprhis is dead.
thefranklin is dead.

This was actually my exact list of people I was trying to decide to watch.

*sigh*

N1 -> MartinLong -> nobody visited
N2 -> Goryani -> unable to watch
N3 -> Zokar -> nobody visited
N4 -> FredOfErik -> nobody visited
N5 -> korialstraz -> nobody visited
N6 -> pharphis -> nobody visited

*sigh*

so, somebody is messing with my results, there is a ninja, or there is a mistake in my results... maybe somebody else has a better explanation, but as I see it, I'm prepared to die today.

I know you don't like the link I posted last time, but in it, they have a Ninja role and they are not seen by watchers or trackers. Either that or somebody has a way to either suppress or redirect abilities.

I know some will try to spin it as I'm mafia, but if I was mafia, I'd like to think I would be able to spin a better story or at least lie about watching somebody who died and not getting a result. But we'll see...
