My favourite highlights:
FoE killing me twice and having it bite him in the behind in the end. I think you would have had better luck not claiming coroner and keeping silent. The only reason mafia focused on you being SK was because you had my flip. Once we had your scent, it was easy to get the town to focus on you. Without that, everyone probably would have kept on Moar being the SK.

pharphis throwing Jcakes to the wolves for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Sure, it was a horrible play to make, but it was definitely entertaining, and that's what matters in the end!

And finally, not only getting the town to believe Goryani was scum just by weak association with me, but seeing mafia buddies get him to kill himself. Well done. /golfclap


Oh, and because I don't think I got a chance to do so in game...

Indeed.. I regretted my claim pretty much instantly but it was just too damn tempting - it was not very well played. I guess my vendetta! is still on. :p

It was a bad claim, but Jcakes post and the fact that BA was already coroner really sealed my fate. Meh. I'll get you all next time, and I had a lot of fun.

Thanks for hosting the game TC, and thank you Thyiad for the great stories! :D This game was a lot of fun, and I think the longest I've survived in a game so far. A shame it collided with the holidays, had a lot of throughts swirling around, but not enough time to write them down properly, and do the quoting needed.

Actually I tried twice. Pyro shut me down first IIRC, and then the second time it was too late. Although since I didn't have a definite read on anyone, you jumped to the top of my list by asking why my claim was different. But at the time I didn't place my vote, as I thought there wouldn't be enough time. Also I thought we had 1 mafia left to deal with, maybe an sk, but seeing as me and Moar was NK immune, I figured the mafia would kill the SK or vice versa, allowing for a win, although barely.

Hindsight, I should've claimed vanilla town yesterday. Maybe the mafia would've tried to kill me instead, giving us 1 more day phase to try and catch up.

My fav part was obvi my busing of cakes, but also Gory killing himself.

Everyone's initial reaction in the game thread made me giggle :p

Also, doesn't matter to me if Laarz wins. He didn't complete his wincon, but he also didn't do anything for anyone until it was too late, so I think he just hates VIs? :p

This was the second time I've drawn the VI role, the first time I had to talk like a valley girl:jig: Being that a VI is neutral I didn't want to influence the out come of the game if I could help it and I didn't want to do anything cheesy like OMG did so I thought I might get lynched if i played different than normal but Moar kind of shot that down so i decide to see how long I could live, I was going to vote kegs at the end but got tied up with passing out Christmas goodies to friends and family that when I got back it was to late. To answer your question, no i dont care for VI's and I still think you smell funny:wave:
 
Nice game, +1 on Kegs/Pyro on blending in well.

Thanks TC for the host (great job!) and Thy for the funny stories.

And we now refer to Prhaphis as Jerome Bettis. One heck of a bus. And kegs did have a post restriction ability! I knew it!
 
First off thanks to tc for the great game. It was enjoyable. Definately made good use of those one shots. Didn't read the dead thread yet. How much did you guys have to talk about geez...

The cliff notes on my thoughts. Pharphis bus[YOUTUBE][/YOUTUBE]ing jcakes, no idea where that came from. Using our one shot bus driver to get gory to kill himself, best mafia play of the game. Once everyone was so focused on the sk it made it much easier. It was crazy how the town didn't push for a full reveal sooner although I think the lined up lynches made it fall to the wayside. I think this is the first game where I didn't have to come up with a fake role to get the town to buy into although I'm pretty certain I would have claimed the one shot global roleblock that we killed and then said I would use it the upcoming nightphase to give us an extra day (I wonder how well that would have worked...)

Also sorry korial I had to either shut you down or at least stall you long enough that there wouldn't be enough time left. Not like the last day phase really mattered all that much since we used the vote block on moar, but we still played like it did just in case the town had something crazy left up their sleeve.

Did you design certain roles to seem overly scummy come claim time?

Xena the (possibly) investigative immune night killer with multiple shots. Why send the immune result instead of the usual no result?

Hephaestus with the overt even/odd mechanic in a game with a SK who also has an even/odd mechanic. Hephaestus and the SK also share NK immune and lynch immune traits.

Joxer the non-Greek God with the obvious post restriction.

1. Since you dodged the Watcher ability, Zokar didn't receive a result. Regardless of who he was supposed to watch due to the swap. My aim was for the town to know that you had a dodging ability.

2. There was no intended connection between the SK and Hephaesus. I mentioned this earlier to Bad Ash, I wanted a tad different variants of a SK / treestump, hence the odd / even abilities.

Well played to the mafia - it seemed like a fairly balanced game that was frustrating by town having terrible luck. Strong power roles gone early, not getting results (Zokar, you just had terrible luck), or misfiring. Lynching both people who were lynch immune. Mafia was very strong, with some very good abilities. Very, very strong abilities

But that did not cause the win, beautiful play by the mafia did - we only figured out some with extra information in the dead thread, and still were having trouble finding way for town to lynch them. Specifically kegs - you were not a lurker and still noone in the dead thread had you pinned for most the game.

Anyways, thanks for host TC, it was fun to watch, and hurry back as fast as you can.

Also an enormous thanks to Thyiad for the stories and also specifically for giving me some revenge through emus!
 
There were NO Mislynches this game. Only mafia and SK (twice) were lynched.

Five mafia + mafia resurrection + mafia redirection + mafia vote block + mafia extra kill + townie treestump who still counted toward to vote tally + VI + SK + SK's lynch/NK immunity. All those factors contribute to the non-townie vote block.

The town couldn't muster enough votes to lynch mafia as early as D4 if mafia had used their vote block ability. Jcakes could have escaped lynch if mafia didn't bus him DESPITE the solid evidence he was mafia. If the town's cops were still alive obtaining guilty results, town still would have lost early due to lack of votes.

Thank you, TC! Wish I could've played longer because I love Greek mythology and I haven't played in so long. Had fun while it lasted. ^_^

I agree with Zokar about the vendetta. That was a new thing, I guess, while I was away (at least naming it that way) and I had let all of mine go (if I still had any). Cal is def on my list right now, lol!! About to check the info on first page. Thank you once again. Had fun while it lasted. :cloud9:

EDIT: Eff you, Mafia. Eff. You.

Pyro is number one on my list. Then Cal. :rolf: :wine:
