Gheeds Charm Drop

Hello, this is my first post to these d2 forums although I've been a long time reader.

I have a question about Gheeds and how it drops. If I have one in my inventory, is it possible for it to even spawn in a drop? If it does actually drop, would I be able to move my existing Gheeds into my stash in order to pick up the new Gheeds? If all of the above is true, then I could potentially have a stash full of Gheeds charms.

Please shed some light on this for me. Thanks.

I don't know if you can pick one up while you already have one in your stash (I'd say that it's NOT possible, but I'm not sure at all), but I AM 100% sure that a second one can drop, as this happened to me. I already had a Gheed's Charm in my inventory when a second one dropped in the Mausoleum, so I TPed back to town, dropped the old one (this was in a private game btw), got the new one, ID'd it and whispered one of my friends to join my game and gave it to him, so I don't know about the stash-thing.

For drops, it doesn't matter whether you have a gheeds or not.

You can't pickup one if you already have one in your possession. Doesn't matter where it is stored.

You are exactly right.

If you have one, another can drop, when u pick up the unidentified one, it just says "I cant"

and it does the spin up animation like if u try to pick up soemthign when your inventory is full.

If you put it in your stash, and try to get the other one, it does the same animation and says u cant.

I heard some ppl use atma which apparently lets u place the gheeds on another character? so u dont have to leave the game and come back, has anoyone heard of that?

The only way I found to pick it up, is to make sure u have been in the game more than 5 minutes, leave the game (if no one else in the game), come back with a mule and grab it. I just dropped my normal one near a wp, then got the other one, left and came back.

I was in a public game so I left it in an obscure wp , just in case someone pawned it while I was out.

there is another way to transfer this charm. you must tak the first charm keep it in your cursor die and then do not get your body. after that you grab the other charm and leave creat a private game with a pass and drop the charm in your inventory on the ground [[[[before]]]] you pick up your body. after that grab your body. if you grab your body b4 u drop the other charm you will get an error and bliz will delete both charms and boot you from that game.

didn't think of it i took it off the forumns. they were talking about the annihilus charm and they said same stuff goes 4 gheeds so i just thought id be helpful. its worked pretty good form me unless my char is above lvl 85
cause then u lose lots of exp and because u exit the game without getting ur body u get none of it back.

cause then u lose lots of exp and because u exit the game without getting ur body u get none of it back.

My MF Hammerdin is Level 95.

I dont really care if he dies, its 500 or more baal runs to level up which will never happen anywayz, from 86-94 it is annoying though, all that hard work... every time u die, u just think.. heck there goes 10-20 baal runs of experience!


guess its worth it if its a perfect gheeds

Lol, you should try leveling from 98-99 sometime .. takes 7000+ baal runs for that. My lvl 98 assy on USWest should hopefully hit lvl 99 in about 3 weeks. It's taken about 2 months of baaling so far and she is about 60% of the way there.
